Let me tell you a little secret.... No one has a 100% automated online business. If they tell you they do they are lying! All businesses take some leg work of some kind.

Those that say they have “automated businesses” are those that use or have an effective system in their marketing. This system is near to automatic and helps them in their lead generation, sifting and sorting, marketing, and the training process.

What is an automated business?

An automated online business is one that works for you night and day. It has the ability to take a looker to a lead and then a lead to a customer.

The realistic part of “automated businesses” is that the owner has spent hundreds of hours setting up lead capture pages, auto responders, websites, blogs and social media sites.

Then there is the marketing part. That involves many more hours of work and research to get to a level where it is semi-automatic.

You can get closer to automated by using an effective online system. A good system will help you set up everything I listed above in a less painful manner. The key here is a good system!

Where can you find an automated online business?

The internet is crawling with offers of automated businesses. The key to finding one that is legit is to do your research. Research the leaders and the members to find out why they claim to be automatic.

A good tip is to check out the personal videos made about the business. It is easy for someone to lie on an ad or sales copy but it is harder to deceive the public in a video.

When is the best time to start?

The sooner you start learning about an online business and get in the trenches doing it the sooner you will get to the automated part. Yes, I only call it an automated part because it really is only part of your business.

Don’t get me wrong this automatic part will help you spend more time on the money making activities. It will allow you build your business to massive success by leveraging your time and money in the most effective way.

If you are thinking about starting an online business be realistic about what can be automated and what really requires work!

The successful person works smarter not harder but the bottom line is they still work!

The Big Book of Small Business: You Don't Have to Run Your Business by the Seat of Your Pants, by Tom Gegax. Ditto. 3. PADI: The Business of Diving Book Okay, so this book won't be of use to anyone who doesn't want to start a scuba store, but I did, and this book was of course invaluable to me in reaching that goal.

Now i am exploring the internals of Internet biz, marketing, seo etc. As a first step, i have launched my blog and started posting articles on what i am learning and thinking.
