Technology Has Gone Too Far!

I have written other posts about technology and at what point has it gone too far by replacing "humans". I have now become a walking example of modern technology gone awry. I don't subscribe to the concept of automatic blogging because I want to be in control of what I post. When I see a get rich quick scheme from someone promising I will earn 6 figures in two weeks, I immediately hit "delete" and certainly don't post any money-making schemes on my own blog. I believe in the "human" aspect of social media marketing. Yet this morning I got an email from Blogger saying my "blog has been reviewed and confirmed as in violation of our Terms of Service for: SPAM. In accordance to these terms, we've removed the blog and the URL is no longer accessible." Excuse me? The blog that I have manually worked diligently at for months? The blog that I take great pride in providing only the most relevant helpful information? The blog that I make a conscious effort to promote others' original helpful content being carefully to attribute the content to the rightful owner. Upon further investigation I found the following: Why is my blog disabled?

If your blog is disabled, it will be listed on your Dashboard, but you will not be able to click on it to access it. If this is the case, there will be a grace period during which you can request that it be reviewed and recovered. The disabling is a result of our automated classification system marking it as spam. Because this system is automated there will necessarily be some false positives, though we're continually working on improving our algorithms to avoid these. If your blog is not a spam blog, then it was one of the false positives, and we apologize.

I really hope they re-evaluate my blog soon so I can continue to humanly post helpful and relevant information to those who choose to read my blog. This is in no way a commentary on the value of the Blogger platform as I have found it to be user-friendly and a good venue for blogging, but rather evidence of technology having gone too far by the "automatic classification system" that found my blog to be spam.

What to Outsource What to Outsource - I found that at the beginning I tried to do everything myself - I wore all the hats of the entrepreneur. Then I decided to focus only on the things that I was really good at and passionate about. From there I outsourced the rest. Technology and accounting are 2 great examples of things to outsource. The only thing I would never outsource is the relationship with the client - you need to own it and make sure you are delivering on their expectations.

Re: Most desirable type of business to start Re: Most desirable type of business to start - This may seem intuitive, but the best type of business to start is one with which you have experience and a passion for. The industry is irrelevant. For example, I wouldn't start a grocery store simply because I have no experience in that industry and no desire to do so. So, no matter if grocery stores are the most profitable enterprise ever, I wouldn't succeed. On the other hand, I can make a decent living and have fun running an Information Technology consulting business because that's what I know. Hope that answers your question.
