Niche Strategy Success - How to Make Sure You Have a Good Niche

One of the biggest challenges solo entrepreneurs face when marketing themselves online is finding their niche. All of your marketing depends on understanding your niche strategy. So it's important to take the time to make sure you have a good niche before moving forward. This article outlines the specific criteria you need to evaluate your niche.

To find your niche, you have to solve the "Niche Puzzle". There are three parts of the Niche Puzzle: 1) WHO you help, 2) WHAT solution you provide and 3) WHY people should work with you. You need to put together all three pieces of the Niche Puzzle in order to find a niche that is right for you.

But finding your niche is only the first step. Now you need to evaluate it to make sure it's a good one. There are several criteria you should use to evaluate your niche.

·Well defined --The group is well defined with specialized interests and needs.

·Desire --They have a strong desire for what you offer, and are truly concerned about the issue with which you can help them.

·Accessibility --The group is accessible so that you can easily reach its members through clearly defined communication channels (ideally both online and offline)

·Connection --You have inside knowledge about this group, which usually means that you are (or were) a member of this group.

·Passion --You enjoy working with the people in this group, and are passionate about helping them succeed.

·Profit --They have the discretionary income to invest in your products and services.

·Competition --There are already existing businesses serving this niche (no competition is a bad sign), but not so much competition that it is saturated. You can create a compelling reason for them to hire you vs. someone else.

·Size --The group is large enough to produce the volume of business you need, and they are growing rather than shrinking.

You have to ensure that all these criteria are met before choosing your niche. Ultimately, you want to find a solution that: 1) people are actively looking for; 2) are willing and able to pay for; 3) you can deliver in a unique way; and 4) you have some expertise in and are passionate about.

Finding your ideal niche takes some time and can be confusing for people. But, if you follow astep-by-step process,it so much easier.

I've lurked around in the main forum before to learn some things. I did have one good experience, though, when I asked how others find a profitable niche. I got some very good responses, and I used those answers to create a post for my blog. Another internet marketing forum that I find to be a lot friendlier is the Conquer Your Niche forum. GT is also a member there, and I think he'll agree with me on that. Members seem to be a lot more friendly and helpful there. There were changes, and the only posts were spam, so I stopped visiting. Maybe I should go over there and see what's going on...

But, there's a lot of different topics and threads, so I could have easily missed it. Hopefully things will get sorted out. It's odd because when I went back recently after being away for so long, I hadn't noticed any changes at all lol.
Re: Quote of the Day - "The only people witho Re: Quote of the Day - "The only people witho - Thanks for sharing this Evan, there are some very powerful quotes in there, I particularly like this one:- You are now at a crossroads. This is your opportunity to make the most important decision you will ever make. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don't think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully. regards, Mal.
