Leo Flynn, a Minnesota Criminal Lawyer, was acquitted on Friday from the child pornography charges that had been alleged against him. His decision to take some time off is past now, and he should be back to practicing law once again. He was quoted as saying that "it just reaffirms why I became a lawyer." Flynn has been a defense lawyer now for 62 years. He just overcame a huge acquittal. The charges were previously for two counts of distribution of child pornography. He also had to face possession of child pornography charges and one count for receipt of it. His lawyer, Rory Durkin is the champ that helped him prove to the jury that he did all of this as a part of his work. Being a defense lawyer sometimes means that you have to delve into places that are a bit seedy. This was a perfect example of exactly that.

His case, which began in 2009, stemmed from using the shared files aspect of Limewire. This file-sharing program caused this entire nightmare for the 62-year-old Minnesota Criminal Lawyer . He says that he had no idea that this was a shared file program.

His lawyer is excited about the result of this case. It is a landmark case for anyone that is dealing with the government coming in and charging people with child pornography distribution charges in sting operations. It is a victory, which means that attorney Rory Durkin, won a not guilty verdict for his client. He has now been acquitted of the charges and is free to practice once again.

Flynn was almost in deep water after the prosecution attempted to use an interview with the police against him in the trial. Allegedly, he had replied in a manner that implied guilt. It turns out that he was merely being flippant with the cop. Still, he almost lost because of that statement. It's something that people should pay attention to. There is a reason why "you have the right to remain silent." you should use that right. Avoid trouble by silence. They have to prove guilt. He was lucky though, because his lawyer was able to get him out of this mess and get him an acquittal.

Flynn is known to be a "pervy lawyer," who has defended many a sex crime suspects. Now that Flynn has seen how it feels to be in that seat, he should have no hesitation in choosing another line of defense cases. Anyone would feel the same if they had been through this as well. It's just a seedy subject that may potentially, destroy the lives of many.

Sports is queen! - About four years ago I started a webzine called The Thunder Child, devoted to science fiction and fantasy in all media. Growth was verrrrrrrrrrrrry slow at first, but has gradually picked up so that now I'm making a respectable income from my amazon.com and google adsense. (Well, from adsense, anyway. Amazon is a drop in the bucket compared to what adsense brings in.) Last year I put together a website showcasing the Tennessee Lady Vols (who won the NCAA championships last year), and just two weeks ago I put together a small website for Jacoby Ellsbury, a rookie outfielder for the Boston Red Sox - called a "phenom" and already very popular. The Lady Vols site has about 20 pages...the Ellsbury site has 5. Compared with The Thunder Child that, started out with about 20, and is now at about 1,000 and growing. Well, the hits on those two sports sites are more than three times what the hits on my Thunder Child site was during the first year of its existence. Since I've been a sports fan all my life, I reaaaaally wish that I'd started a sports webzine four years ago instead of this sci fi one, because I think my income now would be treble what it is. No doubt about it, sports rules!

Re: Unions Ruining America? - I used to work as a secretary at the University of Minnesota, and they were unionized. Belonging to the union was completely voluntary, but if you [i:1l6ue3xk]didn't [/i:1l6ue3xk]belong, they still took 15% of their dues out of your paycheck anyway! Irritated me no end.
hosting more than one site on a domain? - I use ipower, because I like their file manager interface. (Although it is not as good as geocities - but they annoyed me and I'll never use them again.) Ipower does seem to outsource it's Help features to non-native-English speaking people, which can be annoying if you have problems, but although my site was down for a couple of days last year, for the most part I haven't had any problems where I need to deal with them. My question is... what about hosting more than one site on a single domain? My main domain is The Thunder Child, but I've purchased domain names for my two other web magazines, which I host under the Thunder Child umbrella. This way I'm only paying $100 a year for one site, plus $18 for my domain names, instead of paying $300 a year for individual sites. This makes sense to me, but I'm wondering if anyone else has any insights. Should websites have their own individual sites, expensive as that may be, or is "umbrella hosting" okay?
