Entrepreneurship – The Road Less Traveled
I believe that life is a journey, and just like any journey, it has some bumps in the road along the way. For me, those “bumps” came in the form of three layoffs in two years. I thought, “This is my life. I need to create a way for it to support me and bring me freedom and joy.” So… I started on that journey of entrepreneurship.
What I Learned From A Glitch – And A Rabbit
How did I learn how vital it is to be conscious about your marketing? By working with entrepreneurs! In fact, it's the core strategy behind what I teach, and it’s why I named my business Conscious Marketing. But here's where my head got in the way of my heart: I had an extensive marketing background. I played hardball with some of the top advertising agencies. I thought I had it going on! I didn't think I needed any help from a coach or a mentor, because I already had all the answers. I was wrong.
Everyone Needs a Soapbox!
I was kicked out of corporate America. Literally. I was let go three times in two years! It was difficult at the time, but now I see - the struggle had a purpose. Because of that trial, I found my true calling: helping business owners find their voice, get on that soapbox, and attract in their ideal clients like moths to light.
YES, You Can Be a Full-Time Mom and Successful Entrepreneur!
How do I balance being a full-time mother and a full-time entrepreneur? After five+ years of doing both, I can say it's been crazy, fun, and worth every minute! I started by creating the life that I wanted, and then I worked my business into it. If you want to be a mother and entrepreneur without sacrificing either, start by asking yourself these questions:
“Bio Basics – How Much Is Too Much?”
Knowing what to include in a bio can be intimidating for business owners, but it doesn't need to be. It's hard for some people to know what to include and what to leave out, so I have some very simple questions for you to ask yourself when you decide what to include – for both long and short bio pages.
Own Your Greatness: Market What Makes You As An Individual Unique
To stand out in today’s busy marketplace, you need to capitalize on what makes you as an individual unique. In other words, you don’t need to focus on the product or service, but on YOU, the owner, the CEO, the practitioner.
Letting Go: How Saying “No” to Clients Can Have You Saying “Yes” to Success
In today’s day and age most people would say it’s crazy to turn down business. For a long time I held onto a lot of clients who didn’t excite me because I felt it was what I “should” be doing. But then I stopped – I let go – and it made such a difference not only in my business, but my passion for what I was doing.
Set Your Business Up for Success: How Getting Help will Keep You on Track for the Future
One of the best things you can do for yourself to grow your business and propel yourself forward is to get help. But so many of us keep justifying that we can’t afford help. I can relate to this personally because back in 2008 I had $1200 to my name. One of the things I did that led me to a quarter million dollar income at the end of 2009 was I realized I had to hire some help.
It’s About “Them,” Not “Me”: Highlighting Your Juicy Benefits
Every entrepreneur has a unique approach to what they do. But it’s highly likely that they are not getting translated into your marketing. Here are two steps to highlight your juicy benefits, make it about them and stand out from your competition.
It's All in Your Head: Easy Ways to Stay Positive and Boost Your Business
I did a lot of things over the past few years to grow and expand my business, including working for the lifestyle I want, defining my ideal clients and taking care of my physical and mental health. Part of my mental health care included maintaining a positive mindset, and it really made a huge difference. Here are the four things I did to achieve a positive mindset.
