Online Marketing: The Vital Importance of Exceptional Training and Support

As a brand new online marketer of a "certain age", actually I am 71 years old; the new world of marketing which I entered was quite daunting especially dealing with names such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc. Without the in-depth training and support that I ultimately found I would have been lost. I am still navigating my way through the maze but I recognized early on that I had to find an excellent guide.

In my opinion what one needs to look for is an organization which can provide in-depth training in all aspects of sales and marketing and has the "back office" to provide the appropriate support functions. The back office should also have a library of resources which covers not only an historical archive of different elemental subjects available but also a resource list of necessary tools Further, an integral necessity is a system and network which gives inspirational support. I personally attend webinars on any new item that I encounter and the inspirational calls every morning Monday through Thursday are truly a tremendous boon and I have found them to be extremely informative.

Whoever you find make sure that they use the latest teaching techniques to give you a great grounding of selling knowledge to equip you to sort and sift through the many situations you will encounter. This is simply a necessity for anyone who has not previously been in the sales arena and should give a tremendously practical and common sense approach to selling and the techniques required.

For anyone with an online business I can only tell you that you must look for a company that has invested sufficient resources to provide you, the "newbie", with the tools that you will undoubtedly need.

What is required is a company which has had many years of experience. In fact the research that I conducted before starting my own business tells me that indeed you do want a company that has many years of experience and has grown through their trial and error experiences so that you can avoid the same pitfalls. If you, like me, are looking for success online then you will find as you look at any opportunity that the marketing training and support provided at your chosen organization must provide the solid foundation that your business will require.

Let me wish you good fortune as you conduct your own research to find success in an internet business.

In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category. I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above? Thanks

The reason I'm asking is because people may not know what social media marketing is , while that would make me vote for it to learn more, but not every thinks like that. Also, online marketing could capture more attention when people spot in on the list. Shri

Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned. And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
