For your personal developement...

Guest post by: Catherine PAYEN

Article Overview: A person who doubts himself is like a man who would enlist in the ranks of his enemies and bear arms against himself. He makes his failure certain by himself being the first person to be convinced of it. Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) Well this is food for thought! Rather a whole meal in itself! How the repairs of a car can lead onto higher & better notions in life. New companies, better start.

For your personal developement...

When I saw this quote I was not in a good phrame of mind. Suffice to say that the car had just broken down and so trying to be positive I thought 'oh no! A new battery.' Unfortunately this was not the case and even with the interesting financial period we are going through the huge amount of money was somehow gathered & the car is getting repared....During this time I also learnt the death of a baby about 8months old. That is the worst thing that can happen in life, I feel the loss of a parent-normal events of time, is hard enough but a baby is, to me, unthinkable. This puts your mind into perspective, eh? Mother of four beautiful, healthy vegetarian babies - well 2 are adolesents now and taller than me but still - very, very healthy and fighting fit. So the car is out big deal, we have financial interesting times - great let's grow & get beyond & above. One of the hard things, if you have the latter phrame of mind, is if your partner is perhaps not in the same phrame of mind! He is in ''the bearing arms against himself'' & will not listen, too busy shooting his own self. This is another kettle of fish althogether.

When I tell you that the mind set is terribly important you really have not to dout my words! And don't I know it. The fact is that I have the most fantastic new job. Yes, I am self employed, yes it is network marketing & yes I have great REAL financial opportunities in front of me. So personnally I am going through a transition period where with this new career that is mine is totaly different from my previous one. Suffice to say that it is on another continent means there is the time zone difference... This means their 9pm when the training webinars starts, is my 3am and so on & so forth and it is not always easy to get up out of a warm bed at that time especially as the winter hits in:) and it is very cold out of it, but I do it all the same as I am so happy & excited about what is in front of me, the future I can make via the new skills I am learning and I can put more wood into the fire!

I was in a network marketing company before, with the old school ways - we like to call them now! - and the vision of the future depended only on how many people I could talk to during the day, doing all my upline was telling me to do but not really being getting anywhere except in financial difficulty, serouis douts on my own capabilities and the whole village fed up and crossing the road so as not to listen to my pitch. With my new job I have the world at my fingertips or at least "the 3rd largest country" thats 500 million people in front of me via internet, I have quickly become an internet marketing expert giving me the priviledge to be able to offer the same teachings, a bit like a university professor, to all who enroll in my class.... and the other aspect is teaching people how to manange their finances and give them financial education. Wow is all I can say, and who does not need this??

And added to that we are very fortunate to have a mind coach who is on the telephone every day and we get a mail on saturday which leaves only sunday for time to reflect & collect our wayward thoughts trying as hard as possible for them to be as positive as one can be. Before I was, as in the quote shooting against myself. Today I am an educated entrepreneur on my way to making my first million so leaving the mlm traditional ways behind. Interested in changing 'votre fusil d'épaule? ('your gun from one shoulder to the other?')

The Flaw In Personal Branding...? The Flaw In Personal Branding...? - To what extent do you use personal branding to build your business and your business image? To build an effective personal brand, the image you convey needs to be authentic, not phoney ... so to what extent do you, or would you, allow your personal flaws to be part of your personal brand image?? We could be talking about the physical side, including physical condition and fashion, or it could be in the area of personal behaviour and characteristics or habits, or it could be in the area of lifestyle... Don't you think it might be better to have a flaw or two on display, to appear more human, and perhaps therefore more like someone people could do business with? Or is there a flaw in the whole idea of personal branding. Shouldn't we just concentrate on branding our products??
Re: New Site Facelift Re: New Site Facelift - Hey Zac, congrats on the new layout! I don't know who Paul Harvey is but if it speaks to your audience that's great. I like the personal picture and the effects behind it. I thing your logo is also nicer than before. Your stock picture is better than the two you had before but I'm wondering if you can't make it more personal and get rid of all stock photos completely? Since you're the face of the page, the more you can make it personal to you, the better in my opinion. Good luck, can't wait to see the next version!
Re: CAPTION CONTEST: Create a caption for this photo! Whoever ge Re: CAPTION CONTEST: Create a caption for this photo! Whoever ge - GT - you can create a page for your business without having to share personal information. I keep my personal Facebook account and my business page quite separate. I never really got into Facebook until they allowed for you to separate your personal life from your brand.

Re: Personal Mastery And Leadership Re: Personal Mastery And Leadership - Hi John Interesting article I would agree that to gain self mastery one needs to spend time on personal development as this is the basis for any growth within a human being. Without personal growth we stagnate and that must be an awful way to live. MichelleJ
