to your dusters...
That little voice...
Well although it is late
(+3am), I just had to writhe this article.
The penny dropped for me
tonight! I was on the webinar with a collegue and tonight it was
about mind set really, mind blowing!
So there he is talking
away and giving it his best shot, shaking us into oblivion almost!
Something he said just
went – shubam and made me realise several things but this is the
most important...
That little voice inside
your head, 'Which one?' I hear you ask – well that's the one, hte
one always telling you 'you can't do that, you're not good enough,
smart enough, strong enough...' Well from this moment on iI shall
shut it up!
What I mean is I finally
understood that we can, yes all of us, shut this voice off. Listen
with your guts and inner feelings, that will already do some serious
changes for starters. It is true that the last seminar I went to
about this shuting up the inner voice was also mind shattering
experience. I am very cerebral and it was a difficult thing to do
shut this voice out but it does liberate you in as much as the
calness you feel is – there are no words it's only been 2 weeks
but already the differences are being noticed.
As you are a positive
person , not listening to your inner voice telling you you can not
do things , you find yourself in a new space of calm-ness. Now what
do we all know about calmness? You can do things better, stay
positive, and get creative eh?
My father told me when I
was learning to drive 'If you can do it slowly, you'll be able to do
it fast!' and now I'm in the slow lane & loving it:)
The other
day somehting my poor husband did just drove me nuts. Normally this
would have had me muttering under my breath to myself getting more
and more hyped up about it with 'reasons' when he got home during the
inevitable row. So because I'm calm, this is how the new senario
goes: 'OK Catherine why is this bothering you? And why isn't he
allowed to do …?' all the while I got a duster and was dusting the
wooden furniture with my special beeswax elbow grease special! But
NOT frictioning away like a frustrated woman that I could have been,
but rather gently stroking in the wax for a long think. And I got so
engrossed in the wood's luster that I quiet forgot the voice in my
head, could sit down to work once my furniture was shinning away and
in fact I put my laptop right opposite it so I could see my
efforts...Got very productive and had a great day....
This was not what would
have happened before.
So to your dusters ladies and gentlemen. to forget the voice & get on!
