When moderators detect problems within the website’s technical aspect, they immediately attempt to solve these problems or report it to the appropriate department. Moderators also check the frequency of navigation within the pages of a website. Understandably, there are parts of a website that may poorly visited because users find it irrelevant or unmanageable. Moderators check these parts to do further actions in elimination or improvement. There are tools that are used by moderators to identify the most visited parts of a website, the most downloaded application and the most rated picture or video. These tools guide moderators in identifying the parts of the website that need to be modified. In performance monitoring, moderators also record top online transactions being made by customers. When a website offers commenting service, they filter contents from customers. In filtering, they remove comments that can create discomfort to other users. Moderators also filter spam. Spam is unsolicited mail that is usually commercial and sent to a number of recipients. Moderators filter spam and inappropriate comments for a better online content.
