Get yourself published in an online article, forum or blog. Something that pertains to your business type and uses your expertise. You can use this to link back to your business website. Link from your site to the publication as well. This will show your clients and visitors that you are well versed in the subject of your business.

Consistency is key when it comes to article marketing. Writing and submitting every so often will not get you the kind of exposure that will generate tons of traffic. Article marketing is a numbers game -- one article might only bring you a few visitors. It's the quantity of articles, published consistently, that will build a real flow of traffic and reward you with a money-making website.

Write articles that can be packaged as eCourses, free reports, or a white paper. Many writers will assemble an eBook of 40 to 50 pages, and give it away free to readers. Then, they chop the eBook into different segments to give readers as mini eCourses. Break it down further into tips, and deliver as pdf files to increase readers' perceived value of the content.

Learn to write articles quickly. When you write your first draft, just type your thoughts as quickly as you can. Don't worry about your spelling or grammar too much on your first draft. Run a spell check and read your article through, making changes as needed. With practice, you can turn out good, short articles in 20 minutes or so.

Always proofread your article. While a spell-checker is a helpful resource, make sure that you don't become too dependent on it. Read back over your writing to evaluate your grammar and to check for any other mistakes. Consider having someone else read it before you submit the work.

Make your article title contain an immediate promise to your reader. People are always looking for information to solve a problem. If you add "5 ways to fix (insert problem), your article will grab much more traffic than a less action-oriented title. Let readers know you have information they want, and all they have to do is read through your article to get it.

Only submit your articles to the top 10 article marketing sites. This gives you the most bang for your buck. These directories will give you the best traffic from your links. You will also get the highest amount of traffic from these sites. Website owners also look on these sites to find content for their own sites.

Make sure you understand the terms of service for the article marketing directories you plan on using, before you start writing articles. Some of the larger directories are quite strict in terms of minimum word count and quality. Some will only take articles that have not been published anywhere else, although certain ones will let you post your articles elsewhere, as long as they get first crack at them.

Make sure your title is an attention-grabbing one. Regardless of how great your article is, if readers do not click to visit it, they'll never know it. A catchy title that peaks the interest of readers is what ultimately brings a reader to your site. Create catchy, interesting titles that ensure those searching on the major search engines click on your article first.

To get your articles syndicated, use RSS feeds. This will give people even more ways to find and read your content, and may lead to them showing up on a variety of different sites, boosting your search engine rankings. Some of the top RSS feeds include Google Blog Search and Microsoft Longhorn.

The following are some good strategies that are proven to work to help ou gain traffic to your website A) Forum Marketing b) Article Marketing - (Where you distribute your content is the key to success with Article marketing) c) Video Marketing d) Blogging e) Social Media ( sharing content amoungst a targeted network of friends or creating Fan Pages and updating) f) Ezine advertising ( send solo mailings to email lists of people within your niche) Go to google and type in your niche name followed by ezine or newsletter g) Pay per Click H) Joint ventures and ad swaps ( generally will need a list of email subscribers of your own) I) Classified adverts online J) Banner and Image ads - go to google and type in google image ads - full tutorial their I would reccomend you pick one strategy and learn it until you can generate some great traffic and then you should look to move on and implement other strategies.
Do what i did - I had the same dilemma. My solution? I started my own marketing firm! No, in all reality, even if you have a degree in Marketing, you will have to take crappy entry-level jobs to get your foot in the door. Make the most of them by taking on extra tasks that will give you skills that will improve your resume. It's a slow process, but if you can get just one job in Marketing, you're on your way!
