Entrepreneurs – Want To Increase Your Profits Without Increasing Your Costs?

First of all – don’t get caught up in running your business and forget to continually review your progress and how you can improve. Take out your business plan and review what you set out to do and how you are progressing. Make any changes that you think will improve your business. Take a little extra time on your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Try and make it a unique and stand out from your competitors. Maybe also have a review of your marketing materials as well. Do they look tired? Old fashioned or just plain out of dates?

Next, look at your current market, has there been any changes, can you find any niches that you can climb into? Maybe your prices need a tweak here and there. Your target market has definitely grown up a little – have their requirements changed? Has new technology appeared? Match your current market against what you are selling into it and see if you can improve them.

Next – can you add to what people are buying – e.g. upsell. Fast food outlets up selling fries is the perfect example. Can you encourage your customer to spend just a little extra by offering them a natural extra bargain? Those extra pennies or cents add up over time.

Similarly, can you encourage your customers to upgrade their choice of product – maybe by making the price differential a little less?

Lastly, what else do your customers also buy when they buy your product? Do you sell it? Can you provide it or make an arrangement with another business to provide it? These kind of joint ventures are a win – win situation for both of you. Start incorporating other services that complement your existing business and watch the profits grow!

Just another thought, do you ask your existing customers for referrals? Providing discounts, coupons or commissions to them is a great way to painlessly grow your customer base. Just a thought! Got anymore?

Re: Joomla Now Has A GetResponse Module Re: Joomla Now Has A GetResponse Module - Hi Kevin, Interesting that you tried Joomla and then gave up on it. So did I! There is a lot to be said for Joomla. It can make your site look very professional, you can completely change design in just a few clicks of your mouse, and if you add anything to a panel you can display it throughout your site... Also, Joomla does seem to suck in traffic. My traffic stats improved with Joomla, probably because of the interactive features it offers, such as the article directory feature and so on. However, I also experienced various frustrations with Joomla. HTML is simpler and you have complete control over your site, but you do have to recode every page when you make design changes... (unless you are prepared to learn CSS and then deal with all the browser problems...) Also, I market the Plug-In Profits Site and came to the conclusion that it would be better business practice to show my potential customers what can be done with a Plug-In Profits site by using one myself and modifying it to suit my purposes. After all, there is no better advertisement for a product than the fact that the seller also uses it! On the other hand, I know a lot of Internet marketers who love Joomla, so I think it is just a matter of choosing what works best for you. ... And if you like Joomla and use the GetResponse autoresponder service, life just got easier for you! David H
CEOs and Email - Slaves? CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.

It just makes me even more thankful to be part of this forum! After helping create a new charity for animals in my local community last year, I created a vision for a charity empowering Women Entrepreneurs. It won't happen for a while yet, but I know it is something I will do within the next few years. As we allow ourselves to think bigger, the opportunity to impact people becomes much bigger as well. Does anyone else have a desire to really make a difference in the world through this means?
