Marketers – How Not To Sell Anything By Annoying Your Visitors
1) Have multiple pop ups, flashy graphics and banners or multiple Adsense adverts with very little content.
2) You do not have a privacy policy telling people what happens to their details – or even worse tell that you will sell them to others.
3) Have no contact details to make the potential buyer comfortable.
4) Having an order process that is too complex.
5) Slow of even worse, no response to sales questions.
6) Sales pages that go on and on and on with no payment button in sight.
7) Multiple testimonials that cannot be checked.
8) Hard to believe income earning claims.
9) “Proof of Income” that you can see on multiple web sites.
10) Poor spelling, grammar, slapdash layout or design structure.
11) A complex URL or worse still a sub domain of a well known URL. Who wants to buy from a business that cannot even afford hosting or a domain name.
12) Spasmodic availability of the web site – particularly during a major campaign.
13) Having long video or audio messages that you either have no time to listen to or can’t listen to.
14) Sites that ask you to give your email address and name before they will even tell you anything.
15) No product for sale just masses of affiliate links that redirect you elsewhere – why not go there in the first place?
If your website has one or more of these problems – you are annoying your potential buyers!
