Can you use webmail for email marketing?

Can you use webmail for email marketing?

Should you be using email marketing software when you start email marketing? I understand the appeal of saving money where you can, how about just seeing how it goes using outlook first? Lots of people tell me that outlook sends emails, they just want to send emails, so what is the point paying for software? OK, but that argument could be applied to pretty much any specialist tool, and it doesnt hold up any better. There are many reasons for investing in proper email marketing software; here are just a few of them:

You can manage your lists automatically. This can save you a huge amount of time. The software will do it all when people unsubscribe or add themselves to your list, dead email addresses arent a problem either as they will be automatically removed.

Emails can be sent automatically, welcome emails when someone joins your mailing list are a great example of why you would want to do this.

Tracking of email performance. How many people unsubscribed after your last email shot? Which links were clicked? This kind of information is essential if you want to improve results from your future campaigns.

Maybe that is enough to make your mind up? If not, think about the support you can get from an email marketing company. You will need tools to help your email dodge spam filters and actually make it to your readers, that allow you to personalise email by addressing them to the recipient as well as making sure that your email are legally compliant.

So there are likely to be all sorts of useful tools, they are likely to be able to give you all sorts of support and guidance on how to make the most of your email marketing.

So is hotmail the answer? When you look at it like that, using outlook for email marketing because it sends emails is like using your bike to make deliveries because it takes you from a to b. Not as well as a delivery van though!

Of course clever tools arent everything. If you dont actually use the tools provided by yoursoftware you wont benefit from them. Any marketer can tell you how much the reporting tools will benefit them. If you are not constantly learning from your email marketing then you will never see improvements in results. Are open rates lower than you hoped for? Tweek the subject line and then send the email again. Compare the open rates, did they go up or down. Customers vote with their feet and they will unsubscribe if they dont like your emails or your offers. Use the information to tailor your offering.

Managing emails - From the promo page it looks like they can handle up to 16 emails. What are the benefits of using this over other email checking software? I have 6 accounts that I check regularly and use Outlook while at the office and either my web hosting webmail or gmail when I'm away. Does this program save you time over using Outlook?

Offering something of value and not overloading your mailings is a long term plan to use email marketing effectively. A double opt in is over in the beginning - nothing long term and ongoing. I'd prefer opting in once and give me the option to opt out if the content isn't good enough. Shri
Try Email Marketing, You Will Get Traffic - Do not try to build links with software!! This is my suggestion. Well, if you want to get traffic, you can try email marketing. It's very efficient.
