Creating Yahoo! Store Coupons and Promo Codes

Using coupons in an online store is a great way to create more traffic and more business for your online store. Yahoo! and other online store applications allow you to create coupons or discount codes in order to give your customers a lower price on a one-time purchase. These coupons are a wonderful excuse for e-mail blasts and other forms of online marketing. Be sure to take advantage of each new coupon offering by remind your customer base that you're still here!

To create Yahoo! Store coupons you will need a Yahoo! Store account. Sign up if you haven't already.

Open The Coupon Manager:

You can get to the Coupon Manager by signing into your account, clicking Store Manager, and then finding the Coupon Manager link beneath the "Promote" section.

Creating A Coupon:

There are a couple different times of coupons you can create. There are Single-Use and Standard coupons in Yahoo! Store. Just enter the coupon code you want your users to use during the checkout process. Examples of this might be "freeshipping" or "save15".

Next, you will need to choose your coupon option. Coupons can either be "Amount" which subtracts that number from the order total, "Percent", which reduces the total by a percentage, or "Free Shipping", which allows you to provide free shipping for items of your choosing.

Now you have to decide if your coupon will require a minimum purchase amount. For example, you may only want a "freeshipping" discount code to apply if the user is spending more than $50.

After you've selected your amount (it could be zero, as well), set when the coupon should expire and apply the coupon to the store items you want it to work for.

Lastly, click Update and then Publish Your Order Settings.

Tracking the usefulness of your promo code:

Yahoo Store Coupons and Yahoo Store Promo Codes are tracked everytime a customer completed an order with one applied. Look in the "Coupon Manager" and watch the performance of your coupons to decide what works for you and what doesn't.

I write articles on various topics including office cubicles, web hosting resources, online marketing tips, dentures, dental implants, goji juice benefits and other health-related tips. Other topics I'm interested in (and occasionally write about) include lawn care, volleyball, swimming, amusement/water parks, gardening, sewing, baking, camping, running, biking and other outdoor sports. One of my favorite topics is providing resources about web hosting, ecommerce and domain name companies - news, tips & coupons such as GoDaddy or Yahoo store promo codes.

I enjoy watching a bit of TV - COPS, DEA, SWAT, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Andy Griffith Show, NCIS, NCIS LA, The Big Valley, The Young Riders, Just For Laughs (the clean ones!), America's Funniest Home Videos (AFV) and California Highway Patrol. Older/classic TV is my favorite. :)  I also love to travel, having recently discovered serviced apartments in the UK.

Safe computer recycling is getting more crucial.  Have you taken care of your data, using data destruction services from Sims Recycling Solutions? I think all businesses that deal with hazardous materials should have tipping skips.

Office cubicles are good for businesses to have, as having cubicles can help organize your office. They can give you some privacy, but still allow you to interact with your co-workers.

Yahoo traffic Yahoo traffic - Hi Louis, Yahoo has been one nut that I've been trying to crack for a while. We rank very well in Google and get some MSN traffic but Yahoo does not send anything my way. I thought signing up for the paid directory would help but it has just been a waste of money to date. If anyone has had success with Yahoo and has a suggestion, let me know!
Re: Website Ranking #1 in all Search Engines Re: Website Ranking #1 in all Search Engines - To get ranking on Yahoo and Bing you need to have correct Meta Tags as proper optimization is something Yahoo and Bing prefers. Apart from that try to create backward links from Yahoo answers, Wiki answers, Associated content, Flickr. Yahoo prefers these sites and even nofollow links.
Re: iPhone Apps: Biz Idea! Re: iPhone Apps: Biz Idea! - San Diego, California – Got an idea for a killer iPhone app? With more than 1 billion applications sold since its launch last July, Apple’s iPhone App Store has become one of the fastest-growing tech enterprises in recent history, and gained a reputation as something of a developer’s goldmine. Success stories such as that of Ethan Nicholas, whose iShoot app has earned him $900,000 in eight months, have only added to the App Store’s appeal for would-be iPhone entrepreneurs. “The runaway success of the App Store has created the legend of the iPhone millionaire,” says Ian Maskell, principal of iPhone App Freelancer, a company aiming to make it possible to get your idea into the App Store without technical knowledge and minimal financial outlay. “Everywhere we went people would say: ‘I’ve got a great idea for an app.’ We saw an opportunity to level the playing field and allow anyone the ability to become the next success story, regardless of their ability to program or write code.” So Maskell launched iPhone App Freelancer, a website offering the ability to turn great ideas into apps with little or no programming knowledge. Rob Shoesmith, a 27-year-old garbage collector from Coventry – England, submitted one of the first ideas to iPhone App Freelancer for development. Shoesmith says he has only had an iPhone for a few months, but has been following the growth of the App Store since its launch. He wants to keep the specifics of his app under wraps until its launch, but describes it as a user-generated advice service.
My preferred Online Hosting My preferred Online Hosting - I've been using Dreamhost.com and love it and their service is quick and accurate. What's also great about them is the longer you are a customer with them they increase your bandwidth for free - but for a simple site this won't be an issue. I've created a Promo code for any one on this forum to use for any of Dreamhosts plans where you can save $32 for the first year and get 1 FREE "lifetime" domain registration of your choice (this is in addition to the free domain already provided in the hosting plan). To get this Offer just use Promo code 'SAVE32' (without quotes) before checkout.
Forums Speed Issues Forums Speed Issues - If you've been on the forums in the past few days you may have noticed a significant lag in the time it took to load the posts. After checking the logs it seems that Yahoo!'s Slurp web crawler has been hammering my entire site (including the forums). It's great that Yahoo! is on the site but considering Google sends us over 80% of our traffic, it's not worth having the site performance go way down so Yahoo! can find more posts. Yahoo! suggests putting a delay on the queries it makes to your site so we've changed it to 30 seconds between Slurp requests. You can do this by editing your robots file. Ours now includes: User-agent: Slurp Crawl-delay: 30 Thank you to everyone for your patience and hopefully this resolves the issue!
