Niche Marketing How an boring stale old insurance company found a new niche that injected life into their company and how you can do the same

Question: What is one of the easiest and fastest ways to grow your small business?

Answer: Take your product or service and slightly modify it to solve problems in other niches.

Example: Here's a good example of what I'm talking about.

Insurance

Insurance has got to be one of the most boring products in the world. And most insurance is sold based on price only. If I had a $10 dollar bill for every insurance agent who has emailed me asking for advice I'd be extremely wealthy.

Look What I Found While Browsing the Magazine Section at Barnes and Noble...

I often go down to Barnes and Noble and sit down in the magazine section and just thumb through mags looking at advertisements (I know that sounds silly...but you'd be amazed at the ideas that come to me from doing it.)

Well, the other day I was browsing a martial arts magazine and came across a full page ad for liability insurance.

Click here to see ad -> http://url123.com/xaw9q As you can see from the ad, the entire ad positions this insurance product as a solution specifically tailored for martial arts studios.

But is this insurance really all that different from regular insurance?

Maybe...maybe not.

It doesn't matter.

What's important is that the prospect BELIEVES that it's the ONLY insurance for them. And that if they don't have that specific insurance, from that specific company, then they're missing out.

That's The Idea Behind Niche Marketing and...

...that's why niche marketing is so powerful.

This company has taken a boring product like insurance and has found a completely new way of positioning it for an entirely new market.

So if you're at a roadblock and you're struggling to figure out how to grow...ask yourself, "How can I modify my product or service to fill the need in a new niche."

If you've just run out of marketing ideas and need a fresh start or you're struggling to attract new business, then you should consider reviewing my 312 page marketing manual titled, "The Small Business Marketing Bible." http://www.TheMarketingBible.com

Here are some comments I recently receive from a few people who have invested in the Marketing Bible.

We Made the Correct Decision

We are in the launch phase of a new business and needed to make sure that we invested our marketing dollars wisely from the very start. I was torn between this purchase and using the funds towards our add campaign, I am now confident that we made the correct investment decision.

I Highly Recommend the Marketing Bible!

David Frey was recommended to me by the Small Business Development Center for his great marketing newsletters and that's how I found out about the Marketing Bible.

After looking at the table of contents, I knew this was the practical resource that I needed to get me off on the right track with my marketing efforts. I had a general idea of what I thought I needed to do, but the Marketing Bible lays it out for you step by step.

I'm sure by applying what I learn, I will ensure my marketing efforts are successful in generating business I would have surely missed! I highly recommend the Marketing Bible!

Re: Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? Re: Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - You make a great point abotu the sales industry GT. Unfortunately, sales businesses have a really high attrition rate. From car salesmen to real estate or insurance agents, anywhere from 60-80% (depending on the chosen market) fail and quit without ever making a single sale. Since most people think of MLM as a sales business, it's no wonder the attrition rate is that high or higher. The fact is, MLM is NOT a sales business. It's a PEOPLE business, or more specifically, a Coaching and mentoring business. As for an example, I do have one, as you would expect. But, rather than pitching my company here, I would suggest learning the basics of what makes a successful mlm company. A mentor of mine, Michael Dlouhy developed the 5 Pillars to Network Marketing. If the company has all 5 pillars, you can almost guarantee success. If not, the chances are not good. Michael developed this over 20 years ago. He knew MLM could work, but had no luck himself. SO, he joined over 100 companies in under 2 years just so he could compare and see what worked, and what didn't. Bottom line, you need a 5 pillars company if you hope to be successful. Bill
Getting email addresses Getting email addresses - Great strategy ltrahan (I'm liking your posts more and more these days!) I've also found that this works very well. If you find one person's email in an organization, it's likely that everyone follows the same structure. (firstname.lastname@company.com, firstname_lastname@company.com, firstinitial.lastname@company.com, etc.)
