The Secret of Door to Door Street Marketing

The summer is here and so is a great opportunity for local small businesses to dramatically increase their sales using door-to-door marketing.

I know I can hear you right now going...

"Door-to-door marketing...no thanks!"

Well, stay with me because I'm going to show you a way to sell more of your products or services than you thought possible WITHOUT even knocking on one door.

Yes, You Can Sell Almost Anything Door-to-Door

You'd be surprised about what you can sell door-to-door if you do it right. I've seen a lot of products and services sold door-to-door with great success...

1. Tax preparation services

2. Laundry services

3. Oil changes

4. Restaurant meals

5. Steaks

6. Clothing

7. Parenting seminars

8. Gasoline (yes, even gas)

9. Cars (yep, cars too!)

Here's How You Do It...

Instead of selling the actual product at the door all you have to do is sell a "gift certificate" for the product instead.

For example, you could sell a gift certificate for any one of the above products and services.

I personally have purchased gift certificates for oil changes, restaurant meals, and steaks at my door.

Here's the Real Secret - - You Don't Have to Do the Knocking Yourself...

There are a host of young men who will gladly sell your gift certificate door to door for you. In fact, in my Small Business Marketing Bible, which you can find at http://www.TheMarketingBible.com,

I have an entire chapter devoted to explaining a simple technique to how you can easily get High School Seniors to...

1. Beg to sell your product door-to-door.

2. Use a script that closes 6 out of 10 homes.

3. Literally force the buyer to redeem their purchase.

These young men are just waiting for you to ask them to help you. It's the start of the summer and there's hundreds of them out looking for a good job. The best thing about it, is that you'll be helping the young men fund their college education while you make a lot of sales.

Warning! Don't Make This Mistake...

Please don't say, "Yeah, but my product or service can't be sold door-to-door." because in 9 out of 10 instances, if you sell a consumer product, you'll be wrong.

If you take your blinders off and open up your mind you can find many different offers that will make sense for a community resident.

So get out there and hit the streets (or have the kids do it for you!).

5 Entrepreneur's success stories 5 Entrepreneur's success stories - My local paper's business section profiled 5 successful entrepreneurs in the Jan 6, 2008 issue of the paper. Topics of Interest Topics of Interest - There have been some wonderful resources posted in this section. However, I also strongly advise any entreperneur to pick up a few books on personal financial planning; cash flow is key to any business and the best way to start planning good cash flow for your business is to learn some personal financial planning. I have always enjoyed the following: The Millionaire Next Door- Thomas Stanley and William D. Danko Richest Man in Babylon- George S. Clason Rich Dad, Poor Dad- Robert T. Kiyoski and Sharon L. Lichter There are many many more great resources on this topic. These should be read in conjunction with the other resources posted here. Good luck.
New Office New Office - Hi Kevin - I'm right on Yonge Street between 401 and Sheppard - For those not from Toronto, Yonge Street is our most well known street and our most well known highway. I'm also right on the subway which makes it a convenient location.
Victoria's Secret - Too Sexy? Victoria's Secret - Too Sexy? - This will be upsetting for some men. I just heard a report about Victoria's Secret and it was interesting. Their sales were down drastically in the 4th quarter of 2007 and the report was about how they are thinking the company has gotten too far away from the heritage that made it the blockbuster company it is. They are thinking the ads etc have become too sexy and the plan (at the moment) is to make the ads more sophisticated. That would be like the Super Bowl commercial which was very tasteful, but very different from any Victoria's Secret I've seen lately. Who do you all think the current sexy ads are targeting? I think its the men that they hope will buy these items for their female significant others. I hate to give Omarosa any kudos - but most women aren't "sold" on an item by an ad of a near naked sexy woman. Shri
