This Business Building Breakfast is about joining a club, whose sole purpose is to solicit members for its association.
When I was a member of the Vancouver Board of Trade (Chamber of Commerce in other cities) I joined its breakfast club. We met twice monthly to share out leads supplied by other BoT members, and follow them up to get them to join the Board.
This enlarged my field of acquaintances in two areas: other members of the breakfast club, and the leads I'd follow up.
Additionally, the leads were business owners---my target market---and I was approaching them as a volunteer on a basis other than personal direct interest.
One of the advantages of BoT membership for a small business was access to a small group insurance plan for your firm. As you can imagine, discussion of this benefit opened the way to discuss other individual insurance needs for the owners.
So you now have two ways to build business at breakfast: two easy ways to enlarge your day productively!
More to come.
