How To Make Your Own Ezine

How To Make Your Own Ezine

If you've read TIP #15 "Your Email Newsletter" you already know that TIP itself provides a template for your own email magazine* (or 'ezine').

Here's how to use it, and TIP's website material to create your own ezine.

1. Copy this email issue into your own word processor; 2. Think of a name for your ezine, and change the masthead at the top to refer to it, and to you; 3. Ditto, the administrative stuff at "View Past TIPs"; 4. Leave in the quote at #2, the computer tip at #5, and the chuckle at #7, (more at TIP's Article Index)

5. Dump the survey (#3) for now; 6. Decide on how many other articles you want---I suggest 2, one can be your own, the other from a guest writer; 7. If you subscribe to a service like "Life Letter" use it as one of your articles; 8. Order could then be 1-Guest article, 2-Quotation, 3-Your article, 4-Computer tip, 5-Joke, and 6-Admin stuff; 9. Fill in, and number the table of contents; 10. Write your introduction about this new service you're offering; 11. Read it all over, edit it, and finally spell check.

12. Use 'mail merge' in your word processor to send it to clients, policyholders, prospects, and centres-of-influence.

Congratulations! You just made and emailed your own ezine!
