To allow my computers to communicate with each other my son said it would be better if they each had the same operating system (O/S to geeks). I was quite happy with Windows 98 on my desktop Dell, but my laptop has XP so I now have XP on my Dell as well.
I've jiggered it to look like my old pal, but will have to find out where it's better (if it is). Most of my computer tips were for Win98, and I tested them on my Dell before passing them on to you. Can't do that any more.
But, I'm hoping to learn enough to help you to decide if it's worth your while to switch to XP, so stay tuned.
