How to Start a Small Business in the State of Missouri

Are you looking to start a small business in the state of Missouri but don't know where to find the best information? We can help you. Some of the best places to find information are:
1. Missouri Business Development Centre
This is a great resource to find information on how to get started with your business. Here you will find information on local programs, loans, how to write a business plan and much more. You can sign up for information or locate a service centre near you in the state. There is also a research library and how to find out about selling services etc. to the government.
2. Missouri Small Business Guide
Another great resource is the Missouri state site at business.gov. Here you can find out about getting a business license, procedures to register a business, pay taxes, file forms, hiring employees, expanding your business and most importantly state and local information that will be very useful to your industry.
3. Missouri Starting Your Business CD
How would you like to have a CD start up kit for your small business. You can get a CD start up kit from the University of Missouri. The cost is only $17.74US and includes information on starting a business in Missouri, doing business in Missouri, How to Start and Manage a Home Based Business, and a guide to writing a small business plan with a sample included in the kit. They also have on the site a e-news newsletter for entrepreneurs looking to get information on small business in Missouri by email.

Re: Did you reach your goal this year? - Turns out there's 5 meeting locations for Toastmasters International in State College alone... only 30 minutes from my town. Most likely due to Penn State University, but surprising nonetheless that I have never heard of the organization before. I'll have to look more into it as it sounds like something I could benefit from.

Exclusive: Interview with Results Exclusive: Interview with Results - Hi Forum Members, I'm helping start up a Business Coaching and Consulting company here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (a Subsidiary of RSC Business in Los Angeles). As a Research and Development Intern I am required to practice my listening and interview skills by surveying Small and Medium Businesses on thier Business. This Survey is designed by RSC Business to also assist the Business being interviewed more insight into their own business. I am looking to interview about 30 businesses across North America over the span of 3 months. At the end of these interviews I will be publishing a report of the results and they will be made available for free to the Interviewees. The Report data will include responses from a minimum of 100 interviews. I would like to extend this opportunity to members of the Forum. If you would like to have this short 20-30 minute interview conducted on your Business and you reside in North America please send me an email or PM. Please contact me at andy[at]jvprosperity[dot]com to arrange our interview and to get free access to the results when they are published.
