A change is coming for our MasterMind group. I've recently accepted a full-time position with a local school system. This means an interruption to our regular scheduling for our MasterMind group as we have met monthly for the past three years during a weekday morning.
As soon as I accepted the job, I notified my MasterMind members, expressing my regret at the decision but they understood working at a full time job was a good move for my family.
Our MasterMind group has been an important part of my life. My MasterMind friends have helped me grow in ways no other group has ever done. They have pushed me to get rid of fear and doubt. Every time I said I didn't think I was ready for some project or goal, they always said, "Why not?"
By the time I muddled my way through an explanation, it all seemed pointless. I then decided to try and usually ended up accomplishing it.
While suggesting to my MasterMind friends that possibly we could still meet occasionally on a Saturday morning to catch up on each other's lives, I know this may not work and it certainly will not be the same.
We will no longer come together as a small group to report on what we've done and what our goals are. That makes me sad.
I'm trying to stay positive about the change. Maybe this will prompt me to form a group in my small town. That would make it easier to meet rather than driving 35 minutes to the meeting. At this point I have no one in mind to form a MasterMind group with. It will have to be people who could meet on Saturday mornings as that will be my only time available.
No matter what happens, my original MasterMind group will always be important to me as I look back on the growth in my life in the past three years. Tammy, Laurie, thanks so much for your support and encouragement all of the times we gathered. You're great ladies and I hope someday to reach your level of achievement. God bless.
