Passion – Loving what you do, believing in your product, and enjoying the process of challenges and rewards are all elements of passion. Defined as a “strong feeling or emotion”, passion is a driving force behind successful entrepreneurs. They will fight for what they believe in through times of adversity and their passion will convince and win over others. Goal Setting and Execution – Successful entrepreneurs have a strong ability to set SMART goals and work towards executing these goals. What are SMART Goals? Simply put, they are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound goals. Goals that have all of these characteristics are more likely to make an impact on a business. Many people set the right goals daily. However, it is the power of execution that sets successful entrepreneurs apart. To take a goal and transition it to reality takes time, patience, vision, hard work and a creative, innovative mind. Instincts and Risks – We all have that inner voice that speaks to us about decisions we make, should make or don't make daily. Gut instinct is a very important element of success. Those who can tap into their inner voice and make decisions based on knowledge, experience, others' experience and instinct will find they make better decisions. Successful entrepreneurs use their instincts and also take calculated smart risks. Risks taken where the reward is worth the consequences of the failure have catapulted entrepreneurs to greater heights of success. Perseverance – It is easy to work hard and keep positive when things are going our way. However, when faced with adversity, successful entrepreneurs hold steady to their beliefs and passion and are persistent in adhering to the course of action they set out to accomplish. Sometimes perseverance takes patience, other times it takes “out of the box” thinking and inventiveness. Networking allows entrepreneurs to meet others who can assist them with services and products that may help their business. Networking also leads to sales.
