In the last article, we discussed how to attract prospects from one target market to a legitimate home based business opportunity. Your business must be one that both you and your prospect can believe in. A very good target market was addressed – those people who know they need an internet marketing opportunity because they have been in network marketing in the past.

This is a great market because there are a lot of people in it. There is a lot of valuable material available on the internet or in your internet marketing training. So you can provide your prospect educational information that they are looking for.

Today, another very good target market will be discussed - people researching your company and looking for the best leader or upline. So what are the people in this target market looking for? What needs do they have? What problems do they need solved?

There are many possibilities. I will list a few here.

1. Many are looking for a leader. They are looking for someone who can lead them from the mess they are in to where they want to go.

2. More specifically, why should they follow you?

3. What type of track record do you have?

4. They may want to learn about more details of your company – your compensation plan.

5. They may be looking for more information about the company’s products or services.

6. They may want to know more about your team and how it can help them.

7. They may want to know what marketing methods you use.

8. They may need more information on the company’s management.

Here is my recommendation.

Just about all people in this market are looking for someone who can guide them. They want to know how you can help them build their business. You must have a marketing plan they can follow and believe in.

How can you do this if you are brand new in this business?

First, you could use the story of one of the successful upline in your company. This will explain to your prospect how to build their business. This is one of the most important questions that need to be answered.

Or, you can learn about attraction marketing as you go through good internet marketing training. This training can help you put together a game plan for building, not just your own business, but the business of your prospect.

You can also show how you can monetize their marketing in order to earn money as they build their business.

This is what your prospect is looking for. The more research you do and the more you study, the more knowledge you will have. By providing them with this attraction marketing path to follow, you are establishing yourself as a leader.

This distinguishes you from most other network marketers who are promoting their business by chasing after friends and family, cold calling leads, dragging people to hotel meetings, and talking to any person who comes within 3 feet of you.

Step by step approach - Here's what I would do; Step 1 - Observe Wal-Mart’s target customers, what does Wal-Mart offer them? How long do they stay? Discover what it is that they might want or need that Wal-Mart doesn't offer, and then write those ideas down. Some ideas to get you started are - A cafe or fast food venue, something for the kids to do while the parents shop, etc Step 2 - Take that list, and weigh up the pros and cons of each idea, and then select the best one for you. Don't worry about not using all the space. Step 3 - Start the best business for you, and then release the other ideas to the general market and sublet the rest of the space to those who could fill some of the niches you've come up with, plus any they can come up with. If money isn't a factor then developing the building to suit multiple small leases may be a better option, as it's a diversified income, which is potentially more stable than one big income stream.
