A Legitimate Home Based Business Opportunity - How to Attract Prospects (Step 4)

In previous articles, we discussed how to attract prospects to a legitimate home based business opportunity. The last two articles addressed two of the best target markets where you can find these prospects.

Today's article talks about the actual marketing components needed to attract these prospects to you and help "pre-sell" them on you and what you have to offer.

Your goal is to generate many leads each day. You must put yourself in your prospect's shoes. Tell your prospect about your experiences. What were your problems in finding or starting a home business and how did you solve these problems. In doing this, they relate to you.

1. A focal point for your content - You need one central location to send your prospects. This is where you provide the educational information that answers their unanswered questions and helps solve some of their problems.

This doesn't have to be a website. It can be in the form of a blog. In fact, a blog is probably better since you can always be updating it.

The key here is to know what your target market is looking for. Providing them with this information is critical to helping them know you better and satisfying their needs. That allows you to build a relationship with them. They begin trusting you and become interested in what you have to offer.

What are they interested in? Since you are attracting them to your home business opportunity, they are interested in books, coaches, systems, specific internet marketing topics, and many other things. This was covered in previous articles.

2. A web of content on the internet that drives traffic to your blog - This can be in many forms. It can be articles, videos, or comments on other blogs, forums, etc. Each of these pieces should link back to a category on your blog. Your piece of content should relate to this category and entice the reader to go there.

3. A capture page on your blog - You must receive your prospect's permission to communicate with them. When the prospect comes to your blog, it's important that they see valuable information there - information that is helpful to them.

It's all about giving them something without selling. They appreciate you for this. They want to learn more from you. They are compelled to fill out their information on your capture page. By "opting in," they are giving you permission to communicate with them.

4. Provide your prospect value plus present your offers - This step is critical. Your prospect has given you permission to communicate with them. But you must continue to provide them value in the form of auto-responder emails.

After providing a few value-based emails, you can then present an offer to them. This offer can provide information about your home business opportunity or the products/services you sell.

I like to send at least three educational emails before sending them a promotional offer. I then send them 2-3 educational emails before sending them another offer.

I have found that if you do this process properly, many prospects will come to you asking about the home businesses you have. Many times they do this before you place the offer in front of them.

They have come to like you and respect you because of the valuable information you have provided them. They want to follow you.

These are highly qualified prospects for your business because they have a strong interest in what you write about on your blog.

They see that you have placed their interests above your own. You are unlike most network marketers out there who start promoting their business right out of the gate.

Each one of the components is critical to your success in attracting prospects to your business. Each must be there in order for this system to work.

It's very important that you offer them a legitimate home based business opportunity. You don't want to go to the effort of providing them all this valuable information and then offer a business that does not offer solid income potential.

If money isn't a factor then developing the building to suit multiple small leases may be a better option, as it's a diversified income, which is potentially more stable than one big income stream.
