Many single women in the baby boomer generation are looking for ways to supplement their retirement income. Some have already retired. Others are getting close to retirement age.

They are all looking for ways to maintain their lifestyle. They want to have plenty of money to own their own home, pay for health care expenses, and enjoy leisure activities. In other words, they want to have a lifestyle that is at least comparable to what they have enjoyed during their working years.

Both men and women have a strong desire to have sufficient retirement income to live comfortably after they retire.

Many live pay check to pay check and have very little to put toward a retirement fund. Even if they save some money by the end of the year, some emergency always seems to pop up to deplete their savings.

Since there is only one income, it is extremely difficult for single women to save. Unfortunately, many women make less than men in the work place. Therefore, pensions for women are generally less than those of their male counterparts.

In many cases, company pension plans are being reduced and sometimes eliminated. In general, many pension plans are on shaky ground. Pension plans do not have enough assets to cover the liabilities.

Many companies are reducing their contribution to 401K plans. As a result, employer contributions to pension and 401K plans cannot be counted on to completely supplement retirement income.

Depending on your age, all retirees will not be able to depend on Social Security retirement benefits similar to those received by retirees today. Again, assets in this federal plan are not sufficient to cover liabilities.

Changes must soon be made in terms of higher payroll taxes and reduced benefits. Younger women in the baby boomer generation will definitely be adversely affected by these reduced benefits.

Life expectancy is another consideration facing women in the baby boomer generation. Women live longer after retirement than in the past. Having enough income to support them during those additional years is a great concern.

Because of these factors, many single women in the baby boomer generation are seeking ways to earn additional retirement income through an easy home based business opportunity.

Let's face it. Most women, who are close to retirement, have little interest in commuting to a job. Working from home is a more desirable option.

Single women are generally very talented. Some have held high level positions in corporate America. All of them have so much to offer from their life experiences.

Single women, at least those who understand the big picture and the financial difficulties that may lie ahead, are considering a home business to supplement their retirement income. But they have no interest in spending all of their spare time in retirement being tied down to that business.

They are looking to enjoy their retirement years. Many want to do volunteer work and be involved in church activities. They want to fulfill their purpose in life.

They would also like to enjoy leisure activities - sports, travel, reading, and so much more. They don't want to spend most of their day working a business.

That is why many are seeking a lucrative but easy home based business opportunity. This type of business can supplement their retirement income in a major way. But because their business is easy, it allows them to be involved in many other retirement activities.
