Delegate Today!

There are a number of things that you can do to increase your profits and have hours in your day that you enjoy and prosper! Even if you do not have employees, there are things you can do to delegate activities. Don't let activities you cannot stand or are not money makers chew up your time!

Today, I'll talk about social networking.

Our Experiment

Social Networking - Do you use social networking sites to help grow your business? Do you want to, but have not figured out how? If you want to, but don't want to take the time to set everything up, outsource the setup!

We did a test and set up accounts for me on the following sites (side note: follow, friend, watch, or otherwise connect with me!):

LinkedIn Twitter Facebook LiveJournal MySpace Plaxo Pulse Plurk

Pownce Mashable Xanga hi5 Bebo Tumblr Avatar_tiny Skribitworkitmom WorkItMom

* It took almost 2.5 hours to set up the basic accounts
* Another couple of hours to clean up profiles
* About 30 minutes to connect to services so that I would not have to post to each site individually.

The person that did the setup for me was proficient in the social networking sites, so I estimate that it would take a person that does not know anywhere from 3-6 hours for the initial setup.

What is 6 hours of your time worth? How many other activities and people could you connect with that would directly impact your business in those 6 hours? This activity is a great one to outsource!

Ask for help!

It is true that the activities to set up your social networking accounts are not difficult. They just take a bunch of time, and shouldn't you be using that time for something that is making you money? If you want to figure it out for yourself, put your value and the 6 hours in our calculator (on our site)to see what you waste by doing it yourself!

If you have a VA (virtual assistant) ask him/her to establish accounts for you. If you don't, ask us! One result of our experiment was the creation of a new service. We will help you get all of your social networking sites set up and connected to save you time. Then we will connect you with experts that will help you make the most of your new tools!

Where Could You Use Help?? Where Have You Asked For Help?

What items have you identified that you could use help? Where have you delegated tasks? What worked? What didn't? Share your experiences here! I'm sure that my other readers would appreciate your insight and perspective!
