Are You a Goal Watcher, Goal Talker, or Goal ACHIEVER?
Good for you! Your curiosity got the best of you and you've decided there might be something interesting in this course that could improve your life. Effective communication, negotiation techniques, goal setting, and teaming are all skills necessary to build a successful personal life as well as career
Goal setting statistics are frightening and the sad thing is the numbers haven't changed despite the initial research. That research over 50 years ago, showed that only 5% of us will attain our goals. The number one reason? It's not that we plan to fail, it's simply that we haven't created a plan at all.
Most of us wouldn't think about getting into the car and taking a drive to the unique town of Micanopy, Florida without a road map, and yet we travel through our lives without such a map.
After this course you will have a map with specific goals in seven areas of your life. You will have a planto get there and even create your own personalized Momentum Map. as a visual reminder that you'll want
to hang on your wall.
And there will be a side benefit... you'll have better life balance. Why? Often times we are out of balance because we are neglecting one of those seven areas of goal setting. So to help us focus on what area you will begin with, let's take this quick life balance assessment.
Does Your Cup Runneth Over?
For this assessment, rate yourself on a scale from 0-5. 5 will represent that this always applies to you. O will mean this never applies to you, 1 means rarely, 2=sometimes, 3 = 50% of the time, and 4 = often. Ready to start? GO!

Now total your score and put it in this blank _________.
Your goal should be to have a score between 25-30. How'd you do? In my audiences, when we take this assessment 99.9% of the people have a score way above 30 points. So I will tell you what I tell them! Good for you! You've come to the right place! There are solutions here that are going to make a difference in your life! So what do you do next?
What's today's date? Add thirty days to it and write the date here: ____________________. I want you to take this assessment again on that date and see if you've learned (and are using) techniques to lower today's score.
Where do you start? Highlight or circle the 4's or 5's that you have on your assessment. Those are your "no see-ums". What's a no see-um? In Florida we have these sand gnats that everyone calls no see-ums cause you can't...BUT you sure can feel them. If you don't pay attention you can get "eaten alive" by them.
Your 4's and 5's are like that. You know the body is a miraculous machine, and when it's in trouble your no see-ums have ways of letting us know. It starts as a whisper (headache, insomnia, crabbiness) and if we DON'T pay attention, will create a roar (cancer, heart attack, depression). So today resolve to "pay attention".
I take this assessment whenever I begin to get crabby or get insomnia. If I'm driving down the street and "playing hand puppet" (if you know what I mean) with the driver in front of me, that's a signal that something in my life is out of balance because I'm not normally a puppeteer. Maybe you catch yourself constantly irritated with a specific patient who had never been a problem before.
What are your signals?
Write just two ways that your body "whispers" to you about being out of balance:
This course is full of practical ideas that can literally change your life and the lives of others. could show you hundreds of testimonial letters from people who have taken my seminars and reduced their stress or saved a marriage by setting goals and then having a plan to make those a reality. I've had hospital staff in my audiences who bring in their Momentum Map with check marks all over it for the goals they have accomplished after a program.
I think it's sad that we spend so much time insuring we have the latest tools and equipment married to knowledge that will produce a paycheck and yet neglect the machine that keeps our paycheck in play. Today resolve to find your own path, create your own hurdles (risktaking activities) and design your own life. I'm here to support you on your journey.
