Compliance: Why Does Your Website Need a Phone Number?

We need a phone for Compliance. I don't know if you've tried lately, but getting a merchant account generally means you have at least the following ( at a minimum ):

Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Customer Service Phone Number, and DBA Listing if any. I generally place this in ABOUT US, but I've seen huge reputable companies call this "Legal Stuff" or even "Legal Mumbo Jumbo" . One has to wonder what they are smoking over there in Silicon Valley.

So at a minimum it is imperative to have a phone number. No Phone? No Merchant Account. Logic would dictate, that if you are reputable, have a great refund strategy, and Customer Service Plan all calculated out, that you should have no problem listing your phone number on your website.

Secure Socket Layer Certification also requires a degree of conformity - even though we live in an Internet World, there are forms to fill out, and the higher degree of Security Level you seek to achieve the more you have to fill out! So having your phone on your website will help you here too! Getting a Secure Website is not just status symbol. If you value an employee, you provide benefits to keep that employee, true? If you value your affiliates, and your customers, you will seek secure certification for your site.

How do i answer the phone? How do i answer the phone? - I learned this technique from a successful businessman who earns over a million dollars a year. He just uses his name like this... Phone rings... " This is Dwayne..." It kind of throws people off who have a preplanned script and gets right into it. Phone rings... " This is Dwayne..." No Hello, no good morning/afternoon/evening Phone rings... "This is Dwayne..."
Re: Can you read body language and convert it into a sale? Re: Can you read body language and convert it into a sale? - I can definitely read their mood by how they speak on the phone. You can usually also tell by the way they respond to the things you are saying. Phone sales aren't as easy as when you see them in person, but I still believe their tone can tell a lot.
how much for a franchise fee? how much for a franchise fee? - Dear Colleague There is no easy answer to this question. Things to consider: [list=] The sizeof the Franchise Clent base Expected Turnover Intellectual Property costs (recoup) Number of Franchises Number of employees Original Set up costs Franchise admin costs An example: A franchise that I was involved in setting was to a simple "lawn mowing/home repair" franchise. Re: what position to request? Re: what position to request? - Hi Michael, Great suggestion from David, or you could try something around a design consultancy, How about Website Design Consultant, Design and Development Manager, Website Support and Development Manager or maybe Internet Business Development Consultant. Ultimately whatever you are comfortable with and good luck for the future, Mal.
Re: 10 Proven Blog Marketing Tactics You Can Use Today Re: 10 Proven Blog Marketing Tactics You Can Use Today - Hi Evan, Excellent points. Number 10 about making enemies is one I never thought of before. I imagine there are several ways a blogger can go about this: writing something very controversial, attacking another blogger (for whatever the reason), etc. Do you have any experience with this tactic?
