Sell Your Business Reputation To Web Users
Selling over the phone is a great way to convert customers who are fence sitting.
Some folks won't or don't buy until they make a phone call. Some won't pull out a credit card or transmit data over the Internet. For good or bad, these people may be lost in the wilderness, blissfully unaware of their own ignorance.
If you don't have a phone number listed, they simply won't do business with you. Again, readers, customers, shoppers or wanderers may be costing themselves valuable technical data, or losing possible sales because their learning curve is crippled by refusing to give out a credit card, but that is beside the point.
By listing a phone number on your site, returning calls within 3 hours, and following those calls up with eMails and your phone number on your eMail CREATES SALES OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!
Do alot of LISTENING. Most folks just want reassurance that they are making the right decision. Do Not Make Verbal Promises beyond what you are offering on the Webpage itself.
Be polite, Talk Slowly. Ask them to "Get A Pen or Pencil, I'll wait"....Then wait. If you expect people to remember what you are saying, you should try it yourself. SHOW YOUR EMPATHY FOR THE HUMAN CONDITION.
Be sincere. Look for opportunities to offer free information. Teach them to Tweet. Ask them if they have blog, and how that might expand their business, and show them how easy it is. Everyone wants to think they are smart, event those who aren't. When you integrate a phone call with every transaction, FREE or PAID, you are building relationships.
Does your Internet Marketing Plan even involve the phone? You are missing valuable opportunities to sell yourself as an Internet Entrepreneur, a Professional, and a Knowledge Expert. You are missing opportunities to help others when you don't PLAN on the phone as being part of your Internet Marketing campaign. Your marketing plan should include calling all clients, and if it doesn't then at least call me, and let's talk about it.
