Re: Does a New Company need a "Big" PR firm? Re: Does a New Company need a "Big" PR firm? - I agree with SHri, it really depends on the target audience and how much service you really need. if you are doing National campaign than you want a firm that has the National contacts. Lots of smaller companies dont have as many resources or connections. Many firms are going to a pay for performance model which I think will do the PR and advertising industry good. no more $5000 retainers for sending out a couple of press releases - no matter how well written or targeted! if they dont get picked up, they dont get paid. J[/quote:23enhep1] Those retainers were insane and from a lot of people I talk with, the company really wasn't earning it at all. Other firms earned every penny, but its easy for some people to get comfortable doing as little as possible and still taking those retainers. Pay for performance can help make people "hungry" - when they are "hungry", then tend to be more motivated. Shri
Re: "Diversity" Is Costing Us Dearly! Re: "Diversity" Is Costing Us Dearly! - Hi WendyGirl33, Thanks for this post. This is your 2nd post, not many have made such an impressive contribution to start with. Excellent. What can we say about this subject and be constructive. One thing is sure, nothing stays the same for ever. Trends change, fashions change, peoples perspective change etc. In fact we can never exhaust the continous changes that take place all around us. Many of the changes happen without us recognizing it until later; sometimes too late to stop it, if need be. PS, English is my second/third language. If you can write the above better, please do it an let me know. I want to learn to write better and better.
Ranked #1 in just over 7 weeks Ranked #1 in just over 7 weeks - Hi all. i wanted to post this here just because I'm really happy with the results I've seen. Last week I was looking at my analytics and noticed I had a hit from a search engine using the term "mlm blogs". I researched it, and between "mlm blogs" and mlm blog" there are over 70,000 searches a month. On the down side, when you search for it, you get 22,900,000 results (not suing quotes). I started digging and found myself on page 5 in the 3rd spot. Spot #43 of almost 23 million wasn't too bad, so I decided to try and push it up some. After doing so, I noticed this morning (5 days later) that I managed to make it up to page one, in the 10th spot. There are a couple of very specific sites holding the top couple of spots, so getting #1 may not be easy, but I hope to see #3 or 4 soon. Thanks to all who take the time to read my little post.
