The Importance of Human Resources

The Human Resources (HR) function provides significant support and advice to a company. The attraction, preservation and development of high quality people are a source of competitive advantage for your business, and these are the responsibility of HR. Human resources means to integrate decisions about people with decisions about the results that the company aims to obtain.

How well is the human resources management linked to your company?

This is the right time for the principles to motivate people. How is your workplace, the situation about the whole environment? What are your people values? Do they participate like a team? How are they autonomy? Do they share great ideas with you?

HR is a vital process to make management decisions; it contributes to the company's mission accomplishment. You need to invest in each employee, provide an enhanced quality of life and strong sense of community, plus constant focus on better serving our customers and have "People" as your greatest strength in the whole scene. You must consider that a company mission cannot be achieved without its people.

However you have to be sure about your staff knowledge, and if their skills are adequate to carry out your mission. And how to do it? Everything starts on recruitment and staffing, employee development, and employee relations. Managers and employees must be aligned with the strategic goals; it is the progress of the right work. HR has to bring value to the company's discussion; it must bring to the operations activities that impact the entire company. They have to keep greater knowledge of the organizational mission, and also get more involved and innovative, that leads into a establishing collaborative working environment

Start now! Do a good job! Add extra activities into your life and work place.

New topics New topics - Thanks Evan. A Human Resources section would be great. Information and templates for hiring the right people, training, retention ( always an interesting an useful topic), conducting performance appraisals, information on discipline and documentation, conflict resolution, exit interview information, etc. This would be really useful because most small companies don't have set HR guidelines/policies. Thanks!

[Suggestion] Human Resources Forum - Thoughts? [Suggestion] Human Resources Forum - Thoughts? - I just noticed about 5 minutes ago that there is no forum for Human Resources discussion. It may not be a large part of startups that are sole proprietorships, or even partnerships, as most groups starting up a company know each other, their respective roles, and the company really well. But as companies expand and become more successful, HR becomes an increasingly large contributing factor to a Small Business' success. [size=130:3anbwuqp]Short version: Do you think an HR forum would be a worthwhile addition to the forums?[/size:3anbwuqp]
