FSA Payments

If you operate a retail pharmacy, the chances are that you accept FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards as a tender type in your store.

If you do, the rules are about to change on July 1, 2009. You will need to be using a point of sale system integrated to a payment processor that supports FSA cards. The POS provider must be certified by SIGIS, the special interest group that maintains the approved item list for pharmacies.

Now's the time to check it out if you haven't already. Make sure you're prepared for the upcoming change by researching SIGIS and finding an approved POS provider today.

Improve your Cash Flow Improve your Cash Flow - As we all know, the primary concern of proprietors and managers are cash flows. I would like to share some tips on how to improve the cash flow of your business. 1. Speeding up Collections - collecting receivables earlier, on or before due dates. Discounts for early payments can be one way to do this. 2. Slowing Down Payments - stretch your payables and pay only when it is due. But be careful not to mess up with your credibility. 3. Invest in Marketable Securities - use the money in Marketable Securities and other short-term investments to earn extra cash.

Isn't PayPal's cut like over 2% or something? Would you happen to have a breakdown of the other payment methods' service charges/fees?
