Promote Clarity Get on One Page

Winston Churchill was asked how long he would need to prepare a speech. Churchill asked how long he had to speak. He was told 2 hours. "I can do that immediately." When asked about a 10-minute speech, he replied, "In that case, I should need a fortnight to prepare." That's the idea behind the use of only one-page. Brevity is the soul of wit, and when it comes to business, it's the secret of success.

If you find within your company that blaming others is common than the coordination and cooperation fall well short of the optimum. Lack of communication, finger pointing, refusal to accept responsibility, information overload, and lack of concise relevant data are among symptoms plaguing many companies. The biggest barrier in working smarter is our ability to put in order, make sense of, and connect everything that demands attention. Learning how to express complex thought in a very few words is truly an art. You will be amazed at "The Value of One page."

Naming a few successful one-page uses of the past:
Declaration of Independence
Gettysburg Address
Magna Carta
Arecibo Interstellar Message
Paper Airplanes (My Favorite)

Though you may not produce any documents equivalent to those above, I would like to consider using less paper and not for just saving a few trees. The value of only one page is unbelievable. Your business today competes on clarity and how clear is a One Page Note!

Re: Clarity Trumps Persuasion Re: Clarity Trumps Persuasion - Jeff, Thanks, great stuff !!! Clarity or "KEEP IT SIMPLE" is probably the best advice anyone can ever give or get when involved in any business or personal situation. Over 30 years of manufacturing ladies apparel has taught me two critical business lessons: 1-You will never get a 100% perfect outcome so In the BEGINNING,take your time, exhaust all your resources and energy and plan, plan, plan. . . If it STARTS off right it you'll get close to the desired outcome. 2-Keep it simple I now will add "Clarity" to my formula for success. CLARITY AND KEEPING IT SIMPLE BREEDS SUCCESS . . . . I know the advice above is simple but isn't that what it's all about. Thanks Ringo, This information not only was great for my website but it reminded me that "keeping it simple and clear" got me and my teams through some wicked situations Best wishes Barry
Page Rank Changes Page Rank Changes - Hi Kevin - there is a lot of speculation as to why so many websites lost Page Rank. A few new sites that I've been following also got Page Rank for the first time. Every time Google does a Page Rank update there are websites that get caught in the crossfire and have to work to get their rankings back up!
Re: Clarity Trumps Persuasion Re: Clarity Trumps Persuasion - Wow, I would really recommend everyone to go through the presentation. It's not so much that it's new information, but their presentation simply reaffirms in a concise way what we know about marketing and sales conversion. Clarity trumps persuasion indeed!
Re: Facebook Fan Pages Re: Facebook Fan Pages - Hi Terri, I haven't yet started a Fan Page of my own (it's on my to-do list), so I don't have any tips to share yet. What others have mentioned about giveaways is a good idea. I also think updating your page with useful content on a regular basis is a must to keep Fans interested and coming back. This can easily be done if you have a blog because they allow you to import RSS feeds on your page. Every time you make a new blog post, your Fan Page can be updated.
www.tobuso.com and www.paperrollshop.com www.tobuso.com and www.paperrollshop.com - Please take a look at these and tell me what I should do. I am too close to them to see it objectively at this point. The main on is the tobuso.com one. The other is just a paper roll side bar project. I have had a guy working on tobuso.com for about 2 weeks or so. I really dont understand why it doesnt have any Google Page Rank yet. I am starting to move up in the rankings for my targeted keyword but I am lacking in the google Page Rank and cannot figure out why. I guess it may just take more time. See if that is what it looks like to you.
