Create Retail Sales With Freebie Marketing

As a business, giving away your product for free might seem counterproductive. The whole idea of a business is to make money, so just giving things away would seem to have the opposite result. While this may be true in the short term, freebies can actually increase retail sales in the long run. One of the most important benefits you gain from offering freebies is that you develop a relationship with your potential customers. Freebies give potential customers a chance to try your product without risk. If they like the product, they're likely to purchase it at full price in the future. In addition to this, giving away products for free also gives the customer an impression that your company is generous. Taking part in a freebie program will leave the consumer with positive feelings about your company.

Free offers also actively encourage word of mouth buzz for your product. Consumers love getting great deals and sharing them with others. A campaign that offers a product for free with purchase for a limited time is especially effective in this regard. Consumers that get in on the deal will encourage others to hurry and take part in the deal while it is still available. This buzz will spread, leading to a significant increase in retail sales.

Freebie marketing can be especially effective for companies that want to venture out in an area where they aren't established. For instance, if your company makes body wash and you want to start selling shampoo as well, packaging a free sample of shampoo with the body wash allows your loyal customers to try your new product. The benefits here are twofold. For one, offering a free bonus product with purchase will make the product seem more valuable since they're getting two products for the price of one. Secondly, it gives your company the chance to prove itself in a new area of business.

Freebie marketing, when done effectively, can provide a huge boost to retail sales. Finding the right freebie campaign for your business is key to improving your sales. Your business will see benefits in no time.

niche forum categories niche forum categories - I think Kevin just touched on the point that I was going make... and that is developing 'categories' that stick. Sales and Marketing may be too broad for example. However I can almost guarantee you that you would see many more sign-ups if you tailored a category to 'internet marketing' for newbies. I've seen this work on other forums, however, [i:1i903wkn]it can get a little frantic[/i:1i903wkn]... Fine tuning the categories, or expanding the scope should be effective. I think a lot of IM folks are surfing right on by because they're not finding what they're looking for here...
