Free Sample Marketing On Facebook

Guest post by: John Clark

Article Overview: Free sample marketing is when you offer something for free, either in the hopes that the person who received the free item will buy something that goes with it later, or in the hopes that by giving a free sample, the person will buy the real thing. For example, if a company gives away free razors with replaceable blades to women ages 18-30 on Facebook, they hope that the women will like the razor enough that they will go out and buy replacement blades for the razor and continue to use it. So, even though the company lost money by giving away the razor for free, they've actually gained money in the long run, because they've now got a new customer who will continue to buy replacement razor blades from them for the foreseeable future.

Facebook has more than 750 million active users. That's a lot of different people to market to with a lot of potential. Since Facebook users identify themselves by sex, age, location, relationship status, education status, and more, it's easy to identify potential markets and find out what people might be interested in purchasing. Businesses can use free sample marketing on Facebook in a variety of ways. One example is to give away diapers to women with children under the age of two. If these women buy the diapers and like them, then the brand has a new customer. Businesses can also use free sample marketing on Facebook to identify people at various stages of life. An advertisement for an online dating site might pop up on a Facebook user's profile if they're single. The online dating site might offer a month free, assuming that the Facebook user will start using the dating site, like it, and continue to subscribe.

Using free sample marketing on Facebook can be a great idea even if the only thing the business gets from the exchange is the user's email address. The email address can later be used to market other items for purchase to the user, often resulting in increased revenues and new customers for businesses.

Re: Facebook Advertising? Re: Facebook Advertising? - Facebook has more than 700 million active users and half of them log in on a daily basis. Through Facebook advertising, you can be sure to reach any particular segment. Conventional advertising models are expensive and difficult to reach a narrow target. Facebook advertising is one option that can get you results and target specific user groups. You may be the local beauty parlor, restaurant or a Fortune 500 organization, but eBizUniverse will show how to build your brand equity through Facebook advertising. Consider these ideal scenarios: You own a restaurant and wish to target those who are recently engaged to be married for their catering business. All you need to do is to find the women with the relationship status of “engaged” on Facebook and you have your desired segment with Facebook Ads. (See Sample Ads Below) There is a birthday special that your restaurant is offering and the Facebook Ads would be displayed only to those whose birthdays are in the offing. An event is being organized and you wish to target local college graduates, who are single and 25-35 years old. They are on Facebook and you can reach them with Facebook Ads.
Re: Internet Marketing is the best business in the world Re: Internet Marketing is the best business in the world - [quote="WhyNot":ms4wci6i]You stated that you can get your product in front of millions of people within 5 minutes using PPC. What is PPC? I am considering writing an e-book, how can I best market it? [/quote:ms4wci6i] It is Pay per click advertising. You have google, yahoo, MSN and other sites that offer it. Your ad shows up along site of the search results for the key words you specify and on other sites as "sponsered results". You could test the market with PPC (track where you get your hits from;keywords and so forth and use SEO to get FREE traffic), or Free methods like article marketing.. Either way you have to [u:ms4wci6i]know what your doing [/u:ms4wci6i](supply,demand, niche, [u:ms4wci6i]Highly[/u:ms4wci6i] targeted prospects, Location specifics [country, state, city, zip code,] etc.). Oh yeah and you have to have money. Because you are going to lose money if you are a beginner. Man I need to include this post on my blog...LOL Been a while since I been here. Re: Social Media Marketing - Corporate Vs. Small Business Re: Social Media Marketing - Corporate Vs. Small Business - Hi Jeff, A technique that I consider to be "Social Media Marketing" would be when a brand creates a profile on Facebook and then begins adding people they found in related groups as "friends". For instance, Prince Tennis requested to become friends with me because they saw that I had joined a Facebook group supporting their products. By adding me and other consumers as friends on their Facebook profile, Prince Tennis is able to market directly to its target audience. I've also seen record labels do the same for their music artists.
Re: Social media question Re: Social media question - Facebook is where I get all my traffic. Facebook is great, because you can create fan pages and your customers come to you. Twitter is good, but I just don't see the same results. I think Facebook is the most popular and it's easier for people to find what they're looking for.
