When people are being given something for free, they will often feel special and that their needs and wants are being considered and taken seriously. They will have a high opinion of the store and feel that the people who work there genuinely care about the community.
There are many creative ways for retail marketers to have product giveaways. Establishing contests or drawings are both good options. These contests and drawings can take place in the store and on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. One of the reasons that both contests and drawings are good ideas is because people love to feel like they have won something. It automatically puts potential customers in a good mood.
Product giveaways are an excellent way for retail marketers to get to know their customers and potential customers. There is no better way to initiate communication with a potential customer. Talking with people gives market retailers the opportunity to find out what kind of products are really needed in the market. This interaction is critical in today's economic climate. Product giveaways can also be a good method to test out certain products and see how the general public reacts to them. If people like the giveaway, they may want to consider selling the product in their store regularly. If for some reason people have a negative reaction to the giveaway, then the market retailer won't pursue carrying the item in the store.
