Article Overview: It is apparent that the one thing SEO enthusiasts around the world is what will happen when Google finally updates their PR or announces new changes in their algorithm. It's always doom and gloom for most but for a small handful of guys like me, we're always happily anticipating the updates without any fear.

Chasing Google's Ranking Algorithm
The first person that every SEO enthusiast out there should bookmark is a person by the name of Matt Cutts. He's the official spokesperson for Google algorithms. Being a really kind soul, he's always letting the cat out of the bag, typically before Google enforces the changes.
Many SEO companies are always looking for ways that to trick Google and make the SEO process easier by the day but let me give you some bad news. Google has started monitoring sites that gets over hundreds of links overnight. Imagine using a Blackhat Blog Commenting Software, you would probably be generating hundreds if not thousands or millions of comments overnight.
This is the beginning of the end for your website. Chances is that Google would already be sniffing your tracks. The moment they can identify that you have been using blog commenting software to put identical comments, you are in for a rude shock. Some might say there's a comment rotator function available. How unique can that get? You're bound to have duplicate comments eventually.
For those of you who are Social Media Fans and those of you who like to get backlinks via posting comments on Wordpress. Do yourself a favour and click "Control U" if you're using the Firefox browser. You will start seeing rel"external=nofollow" codes. What it means is that the site is not passing you and linkjuice or giving you any link points. You're simply wasting your time by posting comments on the site.
Google has also started penalizing websites using Blog Roll Links as well as Forum Signature Links. The reason for them penalizing is straight forward enough. Many people are selling links for both blogroll and forum signatures. How it works is simple. Imagine having a blog with 200 pages of content. By adding a link under blogroll. E.g. your favorite sites, the link will appear in all 200 pages resulting in you getting 200 backlinks. Similarly adding a link to a forummer who has 500 posts will result in you getting 500 backlinks. Google will slam your website hard. So hard that it might just disappear from the Top 1000 position.
Just how do you overcome that? Get blogroll links and forum signature links on brand new accounts. Links will grow gradually as more content is created. Google approves this. This is tough but White Hat. Happy chasing Google.
