Her path to success hasn't followed the now common stage school route and she's certainly not out of the ghetto. She isn't a pal of the rich and famous, a groupie or the offspring of rock royalty. What is it that makes Susan Boyle such a success?

Put simply - she has a great voice, an exceptionally communicative voice that connects with people in a very natural, emotional kind of way. When it comes to music a voice like hers, like the ability to write great songs or play an instrument inspirationally, is a rare and highly sought after commodity, both by the industry itself and people who enjoy music and take that enjoyment to the music store. There's nothing 'unlikely' about that ability becoming popular.

good question! - Whatever business you choose, it must involve something that you genuinely care about, and that you would have no problem addressing in any audience. You also must concern yourself with what kinds of resources and support you need, in terms of your home office infrastructure, promotion costs, "solidness" of any support entity with which you do business, and the intangible aspect of the people on whom you are depending to do business. Marketing Product Suggestions? - Hello Forum members! I've been recommending a Jay Abraham book to my readers but he recently closed the affiliate program. Does anybody have any marketing e-products that they recommend? It has to meet the following criteria: * Good quality information - no clickbank products that can't personally vouch for the info inside * Related to sales / marketing * All encompassing - not just e-mail marketing, or PPC advertising - it should cover a broad area * Ideally a recognizable name behind the product This should not be a get rich quick or how to make $10,000 a month in your spare time - it needs to be something of quality that I can genuinely recommend to my readers. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I mean, how can a movie that barely anyone has seen like last year's "No Country For Old Men" win the Oscar for "Best Picture"?? While I did take the time to watch "No Country For Old Men" and thought it was ok, it's not something I'd want to watch over again or recommend to a friend. In fact, "Fargo" was probably a better version of "No Country For Old Men". For instance, would you award the Entrepreneur of the Year Award to someone (or a business) no one has heard of, but did everything perfectly... or would you give it to the person/business that made the most money/media impact?
