To genuinely excel be genuinely excellent

If you want to be found online here's a good piece of advice. Be Susan Boyle. If you were the shy, unassuming Scot with 'that' voice, your performance on Britain's Got Talent would have been viewed on YouTube no less than 120,000,000 times in 2009, and you may have gone on to almost instantly sell several million albums worldwide. On Twitter you'd have ranked only behind Michael Jackson as most trended topic of 2009 and you would hold the world record for the times you'd been referred to as 'unlikely'. Nothing short of monumental, Boyle's success has seen her catapulted to the front pages and top of charts. People can't get enough of her. But how 'unlikely; has her success really been? She certainly doesn't fulfil the stereotype of what many people might expect an international singing celebrity to look like, she's neither the slim young rock chick or the sophisticated seductress so in vogue. Her path to success hasn't followed the now common stage school route and she's certainly not out of the ghetto. She isn't a pal of the rich and famous, a groupie or the offspring of rock royalty. What is it that makes Susan Boyle such a success?

Put simply - she has a great voice, an exceptionally communicative voice that connects with people in a very natural, emotional kind of way. When it comes to music a voice like hers, like the ability to write great songs or play an instrument inspirationally, is a rare and highly sought after commodity, both by the industry itself and people who enjoy music and take that enjoyment to the music store. There's nothing 'unlikely' about that ability becoming popular.

There's nothing 'unlikely' either about achieving SEO success with a website bursting with professionally developed content and high quality coding, copy and design. It's commitment, it's quality and the ability to share your passion over the long haul that matters and will win you sustainable profile. Boyle's success wasn't built on slight of hand, trickery and short term short cuts. Neither should yours be.

To genuinely excel be genuinely excellent. Be the real deal. Be Susan Boyle.

Don't just jump from one thing to another because you think it'll make money. You make money from genuinely helping people - the more you help, the more money you make!
Re: Free internet marketing video Re: Free internet marketing video - How much pressure is put on the consumers who buy these kinds of products at workshops or seminars? We all know the 'free' tag is typically a euphanism for "Buy my stuff after you feel guilty for using this product for free".. or "Come listen to an hour presentation and have us breathing down your neck to buy my product". Is this video a spin off of any of those, or is this genuinely 'free' and specific?
good question! good question! - Whatever business you choose, it must involve something that you genuinely care about, and that you would have no problem addressing in any audience. You also must concern yourself with what kinds of resources and support you need, in terms of your home office infrastructure, promotion costs, "solidness" of any support entity with which you do business, and the intangible aspect of the people on whom you are depending to do business. Best wishes in discovering your niche!
Marketing Product Suggestions? Marketing Product Suggestions? - Hello Forum members! I've been recommending a Jay Abraham book to my readers but he recently closed the affiliate program. Does anybody have any marketing e-products that they recommend? It has to meet the following criteria: * Good quality information - no clickbank products that can't personally vouch for the info inside * Related to sales / marketing * All encompassing - not just e-mail marketing, or PPC advertising - it should cover a broad area * Ideally a recognizable name behind the product This should not be a get rich quick or how to make $10,000 a month in your spare time - it needs to be something of quality that I can genuinely recommend to my readers. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Re: Which movie will make the most money this summer? Re: Which movie will make the most money this summer? - [quote="ideasuniversity":1941330f]I saw Mummy 3 yesterday with my friends yesterday and I was really impressed. The movie house was filled to the brim. I also saw Indiana Jones, but I am yet to see The Batman. I don't know which will make money more thn the ohter until I check wikipedia.com[/quote:1941330f] I feel that movies like "The Dark Knight" that are genuinely good and make the most money should win all the accolades/awards. I mean, how can a movie that barely anyone has seen like last year's "No Country For Old Men" win the Oscar for "Best Picture"?? While I did take the time to watch "No Country For Old Men" and thought it was ok, it's not something I'd want to watch over again or recommend to a friend. In fact, "Fargo" was probably a better version of "No Country For Old Men". For instance, would you award the Entrepreneur of the Year Award to someone (or a business) no one has heard of, but did everything perfectly... or would you give it to the person/business that made the most money/media impact?
