There are many parts of a coherent search engine optimization strategy that are quite often ignored by people and these types of strategies are ultimately what allow you to get your initial foothold in the often confusing and always competitive world of attracting traffic from the search engines.

Five years ago when search engine optimization was relatively new the idea was that people could easily accomplish it because so few people were utilizing those strategies for success. In the present day the market for search engine optimization for practically any website is completely super-saturated at the top levels of competition and in order to make your initial foothold you need to come up with creative ways to account for this fact. One of those ways is through keyword combinations.

Whenever a person does search engine optimization they need to come up with a middle ground between the extremes of targeting the highest keywords and having the most chance of ranking high on the search engine results.

One can target the highest keywords and end up out of the top twenty or one can easily target the lowest keywords and be number one for a keyword that nobody searches! A middle ground is required and keyword combinations will often serve to get you this middle ground.

Choosing the right combination of keywords is critical towards your goal of finding that often
elusive middle ground.

You will want your primary keyword to be one of the middle ground keywords that receive a decent amount of traffic and don’t have a lot of competition and then additionally you will want your two other keywords to be ones that compliment that primary keyword. This will allow you to get your foot in the door a lot quicker than if you were to try and tangle with the big boys.
