When you start a new online business one of the most important step is the Keywords Research. If you target the wrong keywords all your internet marketing efforts worth nothing. However if you have done your keywords research you will be able to target the right keyword phrases and get the conversion rates you are looking for.

This is by far the most important steps when you are looking to start a new business online. If you fail to do so, you will never make money with your website! Knowing what people are searching for is obviously a crucial part of keyword choice.

Keyword research is very time consuming but if done right, will provide your website a continuous flow of quality targeted traffic. You know your business better than I do and know how people would phrase what they are looking for.

Start with the free tool at overture and pay $7 for a day of wordtracker. You might also want to put up a feedback form and simply ask those visitors you do get how they found you.

Reading your logs or your keyword stats is also very important. You can prospect this to find what keywords are pulling for you and don't just look at the top few.

Remember that in the end all this SEO game about winning visitors and ultimately customers/revenues.
