As recently as 2001, SEO was far easier than today due to both less web competition and search engines that allowed developers to manipulate their rankings with various tricks. The search engines no longer allow those tricks and it has become more difficult to gain high rankings.

Here is where press releases come into play. High tech, web-based press release services are now allowing articles to be permanently posted online and distributed electronically through RSS and opt-in distribution services.

When Marden writes releases for his clients that are listed on press release sites, these articles give his client’s site valuable in-bound links. “These links are invaluable because they originate on a large, contextually rich and highly ranked site” says Marden.

The release sites further distribute the articles to other news sites, including Google and Yahoo, giving the client a large return on their investment.

“Because we already know so much about our clients and we are specialists in optimizing written communication, for a low cost, we can boost our client’s quality site traffic by increasing rankings and simultaneously disseminating news about their company far and wide.”
