These webpage items can include:

• Extensive linking between webpages

A CMS application can effectively and conveniently manage a large, complex website that has become too unwieldy to correct, update, and manage. All the data gets indexed within the site so that individuals can then search for them using keywords and search phrases.

An effective CMS usually has the following key features:

• Automated Templates - Through a CMS, you can create and apply new web designs to new and existing content, changing the look and feel of your entire website.

• Easy Content Editing - An effective CMS makes it easier, quicker and more convenient for you to edit and update content on your website. Most content management systems use WYSIWYG editing tools that allow almost anyone to create and edit content.

• Document Management - CMS allows you to control document creation/editing, revision and publishing. Many tasks involved in managing the life cycle of a document can be done through CMS.

• Workflow Management - Workflow is the process of creating a series of tasks that must be completed in a CMS. For example, web content can only get integrated after it is revised and gets approved by an editor to be published online.

Increasingly, more and more businesses are using content management systems to streamline the management of a variety of documents and materials on their websites.

There are a huge number of vendors and products in the CMS applications market, and comparing them is difficult. Before deciding which CM system to use, it is imperative that you have a good idea of what your actual requirements and business goals are, and whether they can be achieved through CMS.

There are 2 very important things on your page: 1/ Page title: make sure to place some keywords in your title (avoid title like "welcome to my website, great information resource". You are wasting prime keyword real estate. 2/ Content. Content. Content. Content. Content. Oh, did I mention content?? Your content as to mention your main keywords several times. 3/ <h> and <b> tags are very important too. They tell search engines you emphasize these keywords.
