Email Newsletters That Impress

One of the easiest, and most underrated, ways of attracting web traffic today is through the email newsletter. Inexpensive, easy to implement and far-reaching, a well-written and informative newsletter can become a powerful tool for converting first-time visitors to repeat customers.

An email newsletter that offers something useful to its readers can also benefit the business beyond sales. As long as it is carefully managed so that it does not get labeled as email marketing spam, a meaningful email newsletter:

• Reveals a level of expertise in a given area.
• Builds your brand and establishes credibility by providing great, accurate material.
• Creates a sense of loyalty on the part of the reader.

Writing Meaningful E-Newsletter Content

In order to build a large subscription base, a e-newsletter must be written with meaningful content while remaining informative. Meaningful content is the most important aspect of a successful e-newsletter.

To truly maximize its marketing potential, the e-newsletter content must follow five important rules. The content must be:

• Topical – The news in your email newsletter must be topical. It needs to provide information, and not be a forum for advertising your products or services.

• Readable – Using a conversational style will ensure that you are easily and properly understood. If your readers have to re-read sections of an article to understand what it means they are being distracted from the message. Write simply but accurately.

• Useful – Hints and tips, advice column, useful websites – anything that offers real value to the reader, and even solicits feedback, can be effective in building customer relationships. This, in turn, builds your trustworthiness and credibility.

• Balanced – Achieving the right balance can be difficult. It all comes down to carefully choosing your article items. There are a number of newsletter services when you can find items to compliment your main topic.

• Compelling – Find email newsletter ideas that your readers are most interested in. The more relevant the content, the more compelling the newsletter.

Following these five rules will help you produce a quality email newsletter that will be truly appealing and help build a faithful readership.

Do webinars really work? Do webinars really work? - Since I began this website I've received numerous offers to put on webinars. My concern has always been the time and effort put into creating the webinars versus written content and the ability to rank in search engines for webinats versus articles. To date I have not done a webinar from my site. I was reading Inc's Sales & Marketing section and they had an article profiling a company, LeanLogistics which tested newsletter vs. webinar marketing campaigns. The results? The newsletters yielded double the sales leads at one sixth the cost of the webinars. According to LeanLogistics it was because: - Newsletters can be emailed multiple times - Newsletters can sit in a client's inbox for many days - If a client does not visit the webinar at the appointed time they will not get the information and will not go back to it even if it is available online anytime afterwards Have any of you found success with webinars or do you prefer the traditional written content method of marketing?
aweber aweber - At RSC Business Group Inc., we plan on using Aweber for sending out Newsletters and to use as an autoresponder to inform clients of upcoming seminars they showed interest in attending.
Web magazine publisher Web magazine publisher - My duties 1) Research the articles that goes into each of my webzines - science fiction in all media, various sports (Yay, Lady Vols, 8th championship in 2008, by the way!) 2) Write the articles 3) Format and upload them to the web 4) Email and network various contacts to get out the word that new articles are available. 5) Email authors, actors, etc. etc. to see if they want to do interviews. 6) Advertise for more contributors - and then edit and upload their material!
Re: Email Marketing Re: Email Marketing - Yes, true. What kind of changes happened in Email campaigns except the opt-in? Finding the exact target and reaching them is always a challenge. What new methods can we have to reach the new customers? Thanks Robert
Re: Email marketing strategy Re: Email marketing strategy - Email Marketing is successful only when you get a good list of targeted people. However, some people consider it as spam. It can work wonders for you if you have selected the appropriate list of people.
