SEO involves the process of investigating
keywords to use on your site, do not waste your time on using Stop Words in
your keyword selections. Stop words are actually ignored by Google and the
other search engine spiders. Stop words are small, common words that are used
on every website: words like "a," "the," and
"and" are the most frequently used words on the Internet and should
be avoided in keywords when possible. Google’s Algorithm is programmed to
actually avoid "stop words" and these of them can actually be of much
more harm then you may realize. When the search engine spiders and web crawlers
encounter any of these "stop words", they generally will immediately
stop spidering your website and the information they have already obtained will
not be discarded from their databases.
There are plenty of websites that actually
provide you with a comprehensive list of what stop words to avoid when making
keyword selections. You can scan through the lists with ease to determine
unnecessary words in frequent keyword phrases. This simple technique can
massively improve your keyword selections and therefore intensifies your search
engine optimization techniques.
The goal of keyword selection is to choose
phrases that will draw website traffic to you. Using common or frequently used
words will not help you achieve any significant SEO results. You will want to
go with the less common keywords, phrases, and selections that are spelled
correctly to generate unique incoming traffic to your website. Wise webmasters
and Top SEO Companies therefore make it a practice to avoid stop words when
doing your SEO research for keywords at all costs.
