Your title tags on your webpage is must always be creative and contain the proper keywords, length and density if you are to get as many of your websites pages of your website ranked high or #1 in major search engines like Google®, AOL®, Bing®, and Yahoo®. You never want to replicate the same title again and again for similar pages because a search engine spider will recognize it as duplicate content even if the content is a bit different. Search engine spiders are not human and can therefore make the mistake of perceiving repeated titles as replicated pages: this can lower your search engine ranking significantly because it will appear as if you are trying to spam the major search engine via black hat search engine optimization methods. If the major search engine detects that you are trying to spam or scam the spiders, certain web pages from your website might be banned from indexing altogether.

That is why it is imperative that you use your imagination to create impressive appealing titles for every single webpage even when web pages are somewhat similar in terms of the content that they contain. Put a new spin on an old title or swap around the title and reword it to make it clear to search engine spiders that every webpage you create is absolutely distinct.

Creating unique forum post titles - Hi Evan, As one of the people who spends the most time in these forums, I don't really think it's a sustainable idea to ask users to create unique "Subject Titles" for every post. Even forum loyalists (including myself) are bound to forget on occasion, while the average user won't even care. Instead, would there be a way to leave the "Subject Titles" blank and only allow posts with manually created titles to be submitted? Most people would be too lazy to copy the original title and would therefore be forced to think of a new one (which would likely be unique).
Re: Does Your Website Have a Robots.txt File? - HI Carol, Your robot file is correct; no lets work on your Page Titles & Meta Data. Do you have access to create different page titles for each page of your website? Do you have your FTP information...please do not post it here but just let me know if you have access. Jeff

Re: New Keyword Research Tool - Hi Evan, Yes, this is a great tool for long tail keywords in Google PPC and great for researching articles & Page Titles. It is better than Google PPC if you really want to break down your keywords and go after a large amount of low volume keywords. Anelly, WordStream has a paid user interface that I would try out.
