Doorway pages are definitely an SEO taboo and are considered black hat SEO practices. Though in vogue by some SEO companies and continued to be hyped even today, stay away from utilizing doorway pages. These pages are basically pages that are absolutely meaningless to Internet users and are pages that are strictly and deliberately created for search engine spidering and contain links, but little valid content. The practice is highly deceptive and it will quickly get your pages banned from the major search engines like Google.
Another old school SEO trick was to use text that could not be seen by the web user. Similar to the doorway page are those pages that have obscured text integrated on them. How is text obscured; a webmaster might create text that is written in black font that is nothing but a string of various keywords without any kind of meaningful formation. The background of the website page is also black so that the visitor of the site will not see the text unless they actually view the page source of the webpage; few web visitors actually do such a thing. Spiders however will pick up on the hidden text. If caught, and be sure the search spiders and Algorithms will pick them up, you can count on having your website either banned from Google and the other search engines or dropped considerably in the rankings. "Black Hat SEO" goes against any and all of your efforts to get your website noticed via search engine optimization methods.
To achieve that #1 Google Ranking, always stick to "White Hat" SEO methods, they may be a bit more difficult or time consuming, but they are the best way to obtain the coveted position of #1 in Google!

Well done Mal that is a tremendous improvement, just keep on doing what you have been doing but really don't worry too much about the AR, it just nice as a way to keep us on track.
David I had the same problem with Alexa and Google, who knows why they do what they do either we are in favor or not but I just keep on and hope for the best.
