Guest post by: David Josephson

Article Overview: Testimonials go a long way in creating an air of credibility and your feedback, when positive, will encourage other web visitors to use your site or buy your products or services. Testimonials can include reviews by customers, web visitors, third parties, friends, even family; the more positive the testimonials that are included on your web site, the better. By assuring that your reviewers include important keywords about your business, products or service they will increase your visibility on the search engines and help you obtain #1 rankings on Google and the other search engines.

Getting testimonials from your web visitors and customers are great for SEO. You can easily post a page for testimonials that will mention your products, how consumers feel about your services or website, and keywords can be used on your testimonial page for increased search engine rankings. GetMeOnTop even has created an automated program that will either automatically feed new testimonials on your home page, or can rotate testimonials on every page of your website.

You or your webmaster can create a page with an electronic submission form to collect testimonials if you desire. To intensify the validity of the testimonials you receive, request identification information from the client; anonymous testimonials do not have the impact that testimonials with real names and real companies do.

You will want to post one or two testimonials on several pages throughout your website in order to increase your search engine optimization and to draw attention to different pages in your website. You can also use testimonials to pad your press releases with keywords and site relevant information as well. Testimonials are an excellent SEO technique which ultimately go a long way in boosting your website presence and search engine rankings.

General Guidelines to sale General Guidelines to sale - Without knowing more about your market, company, products, etc. all I can do is provide a general answer. Determine who is your ideal prospects, craft an offer or two that you believe, based on information you have about your market, company, prospects, etc., these ideal prospects will respond favorably to and then deliver the message. Methods of message delivery might include telephone calls, in-person visits, mail/email, advertising, etc. Does that help?
Dramatized the product Dramatized the product - Tough one... It's going to have t be a mix of different media. 1. Testimonials of current owners of the product and how it's helped them. This can be done thru Video and print 2. Somehow I believe there will have to be Video of it being "dramatized" 3. People of influence will have to support or sponsor the product. just some that came to mind..
My collectibles My collectibles - I collect two things; Marilyn Monroe items and Angels. I have all sorts of statues, pictures, mugs and ornaments in both these fields of interest. Including one 6 foot cardboard figure of Marilyn Monroe in my bedroom! I have it against the wall behind the bedroom door and she scared the life out of my husband when I first placed it there...(He thought someone was in our room one night) LOL.

I like this idea of testimonials from current business owners of the product. But what if there aren't any to start? 2. I see your point about there being a need for video dramatization, but as a consumer, do you really buy into them yourself? Where's the authenticity from a dramatization? A security system can be expensive to install for your retail business, so you may not want to invest in something just because someone on TV is telling you to do so. 3. I think your 3rd suggestion has the best potential though! Personally, I would suggest holding a contest to award someone like a marketing student a $500 to $1000 prize for being able to come up with the most creative way to market this security product. It's an inexpensive campaign that could help to generate a lot of buzz (and even be featured as a "story" on a local news channel).
Re: Quick Ways To Utilize SEO Effectively Re: Quick Ways To Utilize SEO Effectively - There are many different types of content: blog content, website content, newsletter content, audio & video content, the list can be endless. I'll just list 10 types of website content here: * Index/Introduction * Product Descriptions * Testimonials * Reviews * Resources * How-to Information * Downloads * Contact Information * Navigation/Site Map About/Company Info Anchor text as the others have said is the hyperlinked words on a web page - the words you click on when you click a link. Anchor text is important because it tells the search engines what the page is about. Used wisely, it boosts your rankings in search engines, especially in Google. If you use "click here" as the words people are going to click on, you're telling people the page is about the subject "click here", which is not the phrase you want to rank highly for, the text you need to use is a keyword that you have chosen for your website, blog or article. Take care, Carol
