Obtaining
top search engine ranking through SEO includes a proper Title Tag (meta tag), it is the
text that you see in the top of all the browsers (Safari, Opera, Firefox,
Netscape, Google Chrome, WebKit and every other, each display them at the top
of the browser window. It is also included in the text that appear as links in
search engine result lists, and unlike other elements of a web page, the Title Tags is indexed by all search
spiders. Thus, it is important to compose a your Title Tag so that it will catch the reader’s and the search
spiders’ attention.
1) Place
high ranking keywords in your Title Tag.
2) Use
keywords and key phrases that are included in your other meta tags.
3) Google
displays the first 64 characters of the pages Title Tag in their search results. Yahoo has a limit of 74
characters while MSN’s limit is 110 characters.
4) Keep
the Title Tag short, but not too
short. Make sure that the title’s length can help define what is in your page.
It is important that the Title Tags
not be too long, it could be considered Spam by the search engines algorithm.
5) Use
sensational titles if you think you can get away with it. Remember that the
trick in SEO is not only getting
to the top search results but to also to get searchers to click your link and
visit your website.The use of creative title tags will allow your link to stand
out from the others search results (SERP) listed on the search engines pages.
In
summary, one of the many criteria for top ranking SEO results from proper
utilization of the correct length Title
Tag, Title tags that
stand out from the competition, Title
tags that include keywords and phrases from your page and other meta
tags!
