••••••>SEO Tip Of The Day: HTML Validation

One important but often overlooked step in Search Engine Optimization is writing clean web codes. SEO is about cleaning up the code under the hood in order to maximize the time that search engine spiders index your site.

One way to make sure that your code is up to par with standards is by validating your website with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

HTML or XML validation is like the web's universal spell checker. Web standards organization like the W3C make sure that your website can work on multiple browsers without a hitch.

Compliant coding also ensures that your site can easily be upgraded to match with current web platforms. By cleaning your code and following web standards, there is a better chance that Google Yahoo, MSN and other search engines can index most of your websites page. If the coding of the website is inadequate, Google will skip these pages which could mean less search results for your site.

HTML Tables HTML Tables - [quote:4u1ipskd] when compared to the non-validated version of the website that consisted of many HTML based tables[/quote:4u1ipskd] Well..dang. Most of my webpages consist of HTML based tables full of data... I can see I'm going to have to upgrade my programming skills...I self-taught myself how to do html years ago and haven't kept up with the times. Does it help to have a Google Search Box on every page? I do that, in the hopes that the results of anyone searching my site specifically will automatically feed into Google's index of the web.
Web Designing Web Designing - Web designing is huge right now. There are some many methods and different programming codes; ASP, JAVA, PHP, MySQL, Flash just to name a few..... One basic code you should learn is HTML. There are two ways to do this - actually coding by hand or turn to a code generator, which are becoming pretty popular, because it is more drag and drop rather then learning a new language. Search for FrontPage or Dreamweaver. They are the most popular HTML Generators. That will start you with learning the setup of websites. There are plenty of tutorials online, so whenever I get stuck I Google search for the solution. Haven’t failed me yet.
Re: how do I get started with Wordpress blog? Re: how do I get started with Wordpress blog? - [quote="jvprosperity":k5g18y4e]If you are looking to add functionality (aka plugins) the learning curve is not bad even for someone starting off but sometimes you may need the functionality to look and behave slightly different than "out-of-the-box" and you may need some knowledge of HTML.[/quote:k5g18y4e] But even if you don't have HTML & PHP knowledge wordpress is so widely used and easy to work with you'll be able to pick up a developer to handle maintenance, new features etc. at low costs. There's very good wordpress developers out there that charge $10/hr in developing economies.
Re: Branding Your Business On Facebook: Be Creative Re: Branding Your Business On Facebook: Be Creative - I am fairly new to facebook but I did not know you can create a unique page. Is it coded (HTML) or click and drop?
Re: Need A Review Of My Internet Marketing Blog Re: Need A Review Of My Internet Marketing Blog - I would say that the free training info in the upper right corner is a little hard to read. Also, the HTML title doesn't work so well for me. I think you can call it something a little more descriptive. Otherwise, I think your site is amazing. Where did you get this template?
