••••••>SEO Tips for Beginners: SEO Pitfalls of Flash. While Flash May Seem Flashy When it Comes to SEO, It Isn't!

If you are a neophyte website builder seeking advice and SEO Tips to obtain top of search engines site promotion ideas, then always remember that you should stay away from the idea of adding Adobe Flash to your website. Flash applications can be very tempting because they are unique, eye-catching, and definitely attractive, but the use of Flash can actually have a negative effect on your search engine optimzation efforts, making it nearly impossible to rank #1 Google.

Using Flash applications on your site, like in an introduction page, makes it next to impossible for you to provide links within the page that the search engine spiders/web crawlers will read. What's more, making your entire site in flash can seriously hinder your ability to get your site listed in Local search and in major search engines across the Internet. Search engine spiders and web crawlers have a terrible time when it comes to reading a flash intro on a website, and honestly potential website browsers can also get annoyed, adding time and clicks to get to the information they are seeking. In a worst case scenario your homepage or deep web pages if even listed in search engines (SERP) will contain little or no descriptive information or more likely may not get listed in top rankings at all, let alone being #1 in Google. This is because when you create pages in Flash, the pages are absent of rich semantics, the pages will often lack quality URL's to other websites on the Net, and worst of all, your web pages will have a far slower loading time than a traditional page written in html and css code .

Still, some website owners and web masters can't resist the eye candy offered up by Flash. If you absolutely feel that you cannot do without some kind of Flash intro on your site, follow GetMeOnTop's white hat SEO tips to improve your chances of getting the landing page of your website to be list in the search engines properly. You will want to place some kind of text right below the Flash application like a small What's New section or a RSS news feed so that spiders find the page easier to detect and rank in the search engines.

Hi everyone! Hi everyone! - Hi everyone! I'm a freelance Flash Developer and Website Designer. I'm working on developing an internet venture. Someday, I hope to start developing more mobile applications. I have one completed already and is on the marketplace.
Re: Bad SEO techniques? Re: Bad SEO techniques? - [quote="WebBizIdeas.com":1a8vvwse]There are few more techniques which also known as the Bad SEO Techniques or Black Hat SEO Techniques. Such as: - Relying on keyword metatags - Purchase Links (From Spamming or blacklisted sites or doing purchase links on high level for site marketing) - Horde Page Rank: This is one of my favorites, because it's one that most webmasters don't understand yet. This is because it changed over the past year or two. The concept people have in their mind is that page rank is a key part of site rankings and linking to other sites "leaks page rank" from your site. However, the world has changed. - Swap Links: Another oldie, but not goodie. Search engines want links to represent endorsements. Swapped links represent barter, and they are trivial to detect. Don't swap links for the purpose of building page rank. It's a waste of your time - Implement duplicate content - Use Session IDs on your URLs - Use lots of Javascript - Implement your site in Flash[/quote:1a8vvwse] I wouldn't think of "relying on keyword metatags", "using lots of javascript", and "implementing your site in Flash" as bad/black hat...just ineffective. The search engines don't pay much attention to keyword metatags, and using javascript/flash just means the search engines can't "read" it (so if your menu is javascript, for instance, the search engine won't see any keywords you might have in there.)
Web Designing Web Designing - Web designing is huge right now. There are some many methods and different programming codes; ASP, JAVA, PHP, MySQL, Flash just to name a few..... One basic code you should learn is HTML. There are two ways to do this - actually coding by hand or turn to a code generator, which are becoming pretty popular, because it is more drag and drop rather then learning a new language. Search for FrontPage or Dreamweaver. They are the most popular HTML Generators. That will start you with learning the setup of websites. There are plenty of tutorials online, so whenever I get stuck I Google search for the solution. Haven’t failed me yet.
Re: About: product production! Re: About: product production! - Kevin, When was the last time you were in a fight? Copying artwork is a crime. If you copyright or register a trademark for your work your case will be a slam dunk. Don't be afraid to go toe to toe with a thief. I have been amazed at how fast people will back off when they realize they are dealing with someone that understands their rights. True the patent office is nothing more than a place of registry and does not enforce the law. Times and attitudes change I recommend you watch "Flash of Genius" Fifty years ago if you said America will have a black President people would have laughed you out of the room
